This historic home has been divided in to six large apartments. I'm hosting one of the three bedroom apartments as a vacation rental. The house is located in the, VAN WYCK Historic District Of Plainfield. Surrounded by historic mansion, you will never see one alike, each one is different in style. As soon as we arrived there were many flies and bugs in the entry way. Main doors left open. Confused on the many keys provided to access our room. The common areas like the living room, kitchen, and hallways were all open to the outdoor climate. Only the individual rooms had window units to cool down. The smell was not pleasant. The sheets, pillowcases, and bedding had fluid stains on them. One of the rooms smelled like cannabis. We immediately left and booked a hotel room nearby. I did not want my family staying here. I reached out to the host and notified her that we left the property. I did not mind being charged for that one night stay since but asked to be refunded the next night. It’s been 3 days at time of this post and have not received a single reply. This property was rated high (8.8) but very deceiving. ##### Marco L.
