Sandia Mountain hiking trails start right out the back door, while still being within 20 minutes of downtown Albuquerque. Our nearest neighbors are 500 feet away and all around us are stunning vistas of the city and incredible views of the mountains. If you love being in the wilderness, this is the most secluded place you will find on the west side of the mountain. And for our summer guests, escape the heat in the higher altitude. Please note: For our winter guests, from December 15 through February 28 I require 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicles to be a guest. I was a little worried it would be hot with no AC but the ceiling fans and placement on the mountain make all the difference. We enjoyed our stay and really appreciated all the attention to detail like liquid soap in the bathroom, paper towels, dishwasher packs and laundry pods, trash bags. We have stayed at other places and they don't provide anything which is difficult when you fly instead of drive to your destination. The best unofficial perk of this stay is the welcome committee. Great place to stay, dirt road getting to it, in the mountains... loved it! Very short drive or walk to two wonderful trails. Very comfy bed, full kitchen, private patio. Really nice to have the patio. Loved seeing the mountains right outside. We enjoyed hiking and snowshoeing in the area. Highly recommend! ##### Cindy T. We were hit with a snow storm during our stay and loved every minute of it. Property was perfect for our family of 4 and our son had no issues maneuvering around in his wheelchair. Management was very informative and made sure we had everything needed.
