For a change of pace, try the common BBQ area with picnic seating and sear something on the grill. Walk home from the beach each afternoon to dine outside on the veranda, take a nap in the hammock, and curl up to watch your streaming favorites on the Netflix-equipped smart TV. This property is located in Surfside, a five-minute walk from the beach and the Caribbean Sea. You can choose to spend the day relaxing in the sun, fishing, snorkeling around the coral reef, or chartering a boat to take out on the water. There's a miniature golf course within walking distance, as well as a number of restaurants, bars, and a supermarket in Surfside. THINGS TO KNOW No on-site pool available, however, most resorts in Maya Beach will offer pool access if food or drinks are purchased. The nearest resort with these facilities is a 5-minute walk away. AC is available in the bedrooms only. 2 bikes in the property (subject to availability) at no extra cost. There are stairs to reach the house and ladder steps to get to the living space on the mezzanine level. Laundry service is available for a cost. I chose this location because it was far away from the hustle and bustle of town, but also planned on using the bicycles mentioned in the listing to get around, as taxis are incredibly expensive. No bikes, and they’re not replacing them, so if you need to get to the grocery store it’s about a 30 min walk. I recommend going right when they open at 8am before it gets too hot. Otherwise, property was more space than I needed, and the AC in the bedroom worked great! You’re right on the road, so traffic noise can be loud during the day, and there was road construction the whole time I was there, so holding meetings was difficult.
