No staff was in this 5-unit B&B (it's quite a large building to just have 5 units); and perhaps because it was Monday, I was the only guest. Hmm, I thought when I opened the door with the code they gave me, this door lock is dirty. Hope the entire B&B isn't dirty.
Well, the place was quite amazing. If you like the B&B experience, if you like interesting and unique experiences, this place is for you. After returning from my business, I was able to take a nice shower then go to one of the several lounge rooms (living rooms?), where they had pastries or -I kid you not- nice Port set out in a decanter. Sat back, read a book and sipped the port.
The bed was extremely comfortable. Then in the morning, at the time I had requested the previous day, one of the hosts was there to make me breakfast. The breakfast was fresh berries, fresh squeezed juice on both days; the first day this was followed by a fresh belgian waffle, and the 2nd by poached eggs on toasted specialty bread. True the coffee was nothing special, but then there are several nice coffee shops in the neighborhood with which I was able to repeatedly satisfy my coffee cravings.
I would probably stay here again. I would say, this place was definitely better than anything at the Hilton level or down.
