"Comfortable, well maintained hotel "
The Ercolini in Montecatini Terme was perfect for our week long stay in this area of Italy. It is conveniently located in this pleasant town and serves as a great base for visiting Firenze, Lucca, Sienna and other fascinating locations. The hotel itself is very comfortable and well maintained. Our room on the 4th floor overlooked a small garden with a large palm tree and other greenery. We are sensitive to noise but the room was quiet and it was lovely to get up in the morning, open the door and walk out onto our own private little balcony with a view of Tuscan countryside. The housekeeping staff were very thorough and our room and bathroom was meticulously clean. The bedding although perfectly acceptable and very clean, could perhaps be upgraded to include a light, white duvet rather than the blanket which was there. The breakfast room is luxurious and the food typically Italian - plentiful, tasty and beautifully presented. In all a very pleasant stay.

"Better than expected!"
Comfortable room and beds. Nice casual rest. w/a varied menu for dinner (closes at 9:00) and also has a good assortment of breakfast items. We did not try the more elegant looking restaurant. I would've appreciated a more helpful & understanding phone explanation of the size of bed. We reserved an extra bed when, with more info, a 'matrimonial' bed would have sufficed. BTW a matrimonial bed is a king sized bed = two singles. This is something all hotels need to explain, as well as ALL Airbnb hosts.

"lovely family run hotel, fiendly service and quiet"
a little cracker, beautifully positioned next to the gorgeous park yet within 5-10 min from the center and therefore nice and quiet. The hotel could do with a makeover on the stairs and corridors but reception is lovely as was our room. The Al Fresco breakfast is a delight with an excellent continental choice and again fab service. The sister hotel The Astoria a short stroll away has the best Jacuzzi I've ever come across. We have already planned a late Sept visit back as we loved it so much. Do book the airport transfer from Pisa, it makes it so easy and worth the money.
