Hiawatha House near Pipestone National Monument

3 Bedroom Home which is the Entire Main Floor of Hiawatha House. 9 ft ceilings. 3 bedrooms with cozy king sized beds. Each bedroom has a tv in it with Google chrome so you can cast what you are watching on your computer/laptop or phone to the TV. There is also a TV in the living room which has a leather reclining love seat as well as two leather reclining chairs. There is a comfy leather rocking chair in the area adjoining the dining room as well as a microfiber loveseat. There is a large dining table and bar area. The main attraction of Pipestone, MN is the national monument. Open all year long even in the dead of winter. Visit the beautiful waterfall at the monument and the museum there. Learn about the sacred history of Pipestone where Native Americans pilgrimaged for a few thousand years to mine the rock used for making their sacred pipes. Pipestone is a holy place for many of the tribes in the surrounding area. This is a place where many natives still come to send their prayers upward. You will see the prayer fabric which has been hung from trees along the now paved trail. The monument is open to the general public as well as the museum where local natives demonstrate pipemaking. Several stores in town sell authentic Native American jewelry, clothing, and crafts.
