Easy access from the Twin Cities - only an hour north on I-35\. Cross Lake is around a 1000-acre lake with good water quality and beautiful nature. Great for fishing, boating, kayaking, whatever water activities you like. The house is on two levels, one bedroom and one bathroom on each floor. Living room has a sofa bed that can be used as additional sleeping arrangement. Our Floe dock is in the water from Memorial Day through September and is very convenient for parking your boat or jet skis. Chengwatana State Forest (29,041 acres) is about 10 minutes from the house and has trails for x-country skiing, horseback riding, ATV's, and hunting. Plenty to do, no matter what the season is! The deck overlooking the lake is situated perfectly in that we never saw or heard any neighbors. The wireless speaker was a nice touch for relaxing, hanging out and listening to tunes. Enough space to be up stairs, down stairs or on the deck. The deck was great to sit and look out at the pretty view. Neighbors were also friendly! All the amenities from home minus a few kitchen items made the stay easy. Comfortable beds and beautiful dolly decorated and updated. WiFi was slow but cell service was good.
