Having stayed in various Caribbean resorts, we were pleasantly surprised by the high level of cleanliness and the genuine helpful and friendly staff. Our room, a one-bedroom ocean view suite, had a wide veranda balcony outfitted with a patio set for 4 along with lounge chairs. The full kitchen was modern with two different coffee makers and GE appliances and granite countertops. We had a dining table, an ample sectional sofa, and pairs of additional chairs. It was beautifully appointed. Our check in was easy. The bed was high and very comfortable with mounds of pillows to quite the luckiest sleeper. Outlets were plentiful for charging. The shower easily fits 2, and the suite had two separate toilet rooms. There were loads of dresser space and a stack washer and dryer complete with detergent available. The mini bar had reasonably priced full bottles of wine. The star of this resort is the view and the beach. We had fantastic snorkeling right off the beach. We had no difficulties getting a cabana on the beach, but we were early to the beach most days. The pool is smaller but sufficient, and they have lovely waterfalls going into the pool. The Jo Jo’s cafe for breakfast was nice. The dinner restaurant The Dunes had mediocre food but a beautiful and private beach setting. Plan to eat dinners off site. Recommended restaurants are Graces Cottage, The Marine Room, and Vita at Rock House. This smaller boutique hotel was just right for us, and we will happily return!

Hi, We stayed at The Tides for a long weekend in May 2024. The room was super clean, the amenities were great, allowed us to mix restaurants and home food. The supermarket is about 15 mins walk from The Tides, and you also have the option to use the onsite bicycles for free. Turks and Caicos weather was awesome, people are nice, patient, and we personally need to thank Brenda for all her help, she was super nice and made us feel home. Will definitely go back to Turks, and stay at The Tides again, A

I really liked the hotel. The staff at the front desk was helpful however i never had my safe working in my room yet they told me that it would be fixed. The housekeeping was constantly bringing towels that i didn't need. At 10:30 the day of my checkout i was interrupted on a conference call from a housekeeper who was asking me if i needed towels? Then she knocked again a half hour later asking me when i was i was leaving. Really BAD This hotel needs better customer service.

Liked that it was away from other busy hotels, which we intentionally wanted, but did require a 30 minute walk or a taxi ride at $6-$20 per person, depending on time of day/night to get to busier area with restaurants and casino.
