Our Quiet, secluded cabin is at the end of a road with no through traffic. \- 5-7 min drive will get you to the Parkway on your way to Dollwood (5 miles from the cabin) or Gatlinburg (8 miles) Cabin Features \- 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, no need for sharing!! Two of our bedrooms feature comfortable king beds with your own TV, while the third is a quality full size on the main floor. \- Our fully stocked kitchen has all you need to cook, bake or just make coffee and toast for breakfast. Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner anyone?? \- The outside is truly a peaceful place with room to breath and feel secluded. There is a wood burning fire pit as well as a charcoal grill. On the other side there is a patio where you can gather around the propane fire table. The front porch is perfect for soaking up the seasonal view or catching a sunset. the entire cabin secluded wooded area very close to town yet feels private. 2.5 mile drive from the Parkway, past the zipline, quick drive up the hill and our cabin is at the end of the road with no through traffic. Some cabins close by are also overnight rentals. there is a gate at the entrance of the driveway. After entering through the gate you will find a short driveway to the spacious parking area right by the stairs going into the house. we are in the mountains! The drive is about 2 mile of mountain roads from the parkway. The drive was easy! The drive way is a bit narrow to turn around in and would not recommend a large vehicle. We sat in the rocking chairs on the front porch and watched the sun go down every evening. The only drawback was the mosquitos, which were plentiful! But that was a minor annoyance, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The road to the cabin is harrowing if you come in after dark and are unfamiliar with the area, but it is newly paved and in great shape, so we didn't have any trouble during the day. However, it was close to the parkway where all of the chaos and action takes place. The cabin accommodated 3 families well. We had everything we needed except you might want to bring a few extra towels and washcloths. We loved the firepit where we had s'mores. The driveway is all asphalt. Me, my husband, niece (18) and nephew (18) stayed in the cabin for a few nights after the July 4th holiday weekend. The cabin was great and had plenty of room. We all agreed the beds were super comfortable and made it hard to get out of them. Even though it looks like you are in the middle of nowhere, you can drive about 7 minutes and it'll look like you are in Las Vegas for kids. The main drag is right there and there is so much going on I couldn't believe it. the one thing we went to Pigeon Forge to see was the Alcatraz East Crime Museum, but we did so much more. And the house was very convenient to all those places. In the morning, I heard a squirrel running around on the metal roof, and then he stuck his hands on the bedroom window and was looking inside at me. He was so cute. Other than that, I didn't see any animals, but my husband saw a bear while he was driving up to the house. The driveway is steep, but not bad, and it's not hard to turn around in the driveway unless maybe you have another car up there. We had no problem getting up and down the hill. Maybe it's different in the winter, I'm not sure. Overall, the house was great and we would definitely stay there again. It was so pretty and in such a pretty location. Great for fire pits, roasting hotdogs an S amores over the fire. There is no fireplace to warm up to but the cabin was plenty warm on cold nights. Kids loved the Video Games. The beds were so comfortable , I slept great! The master shower had great water pressure! It was super quit up there and the view was spectacular. I enjoyed every morning going outside with a cup of coffee and sitting in the rocking chair enjoying the Mountain View. PS they have a Keurig, and regular coffee pot. I agree with another review, the hill/driveway going up to the cabin is steep ( I am scared of big hills), so make sure you have a small vehicle with 4 wheel drive because it can be slippery on the drive up if it is raining. Also the turn around at the top requires a three point turn. I would never recommend a really large vehicle. Besides this, it is close to the main drag and did not take us long to get to pigeon island, Dollywood, or any of the attractions. I would return again.
