This newly renovated cottage is located on a private lake (no public access) with a sandy beach and 85 feet of lakefront. A picturesque view facing the clean, spring-fed, sandy bottom 40 acre lake can be seen from the upper and lower decks. A newly built fire pit in the backyard with string lights for ambiance is great for roasting s'mores on a warm summer evening. Available for use at no additional charge is a propane grill, 2 kayaks, multiple floaties and lawn games located in the shed, and 1 stand-up paddle board. \*\*boat pictured is NOT included in rental\*\* This perfectly appointed house has all the creature comforts needed for a comfortable stay including a stocked coffee bar, dishware/silverware for 12, cooking pots, pans, and utensils, blender, portable ice maker, and tea kettle in the kitchen. Linens cover the beds in the 4 available bedrooms, and hand/face/bath towels are included in the 2 full bathrooms. There are also beach towels available for use as well as a laundry room stocked with detergent and laundry sheets. On a rainy day or just for some family fun, there are card/board games located in the living room. The house is on a lovely lake that is very quiet and peaceful. We spent most of our time on the deck, just catching up with each other and enjoying the view. We cooked, had wine together, chatted up a storm and enjoyed every minute here! Thank you! The only caution we experienced was our mother has a walker and there are two steps to get into the home, which while we were able to navigate that eventually, I might not say it's exactly "barrier free".....and the driveway was scary with the washed out areas and rutting, but after we swept away the loose gravel, we had not trouble at all! ##### Julie J. My husband and I took a trip out to Michigan so I could see my fathers side of the family once I graduated. The home came with a notebook with rules and nearby places to visit as well as grocery stores nearby. The host was always quick to respond which was nice. I will say if you have a giant truck you are renting getting in at the garage will be hard. We opted to park on the upper level (not up the wooden stairs) since we did get a truck. Overall we enjoyed our experience. We slept in the basement master which was nice and cool (my husband runs hot). They have alot of bedrooms to choose from. It’s not the cleanest, so bring your cleaning supplies. The refrigerator and the cupboards are packed with what they’re calling condiments but there was so much more. We could barely get our food in the refrigerator. I’d be appreciative of salt and pepper, but not mayonnaise and jelly and coffee cream. We were stranded on the lake for about two hours, and had to be towed back in, we were in constant communication with the owner, and she bought us a pizza for our troubles, which was greatly appreciated. My younger two absolutely loved swimming and fishing in the lake. My older two loved that there was room in the house to do their own thing. While you aren't too far from the hustle and bustle you're also not too close. The house was clean and well cared for. The beds were comfy and so were the couches. There were enough dishes for all 8 of us. It was also nice that there were condiments and things like popcorn and marshmellows. I would recommend this home to anyone and look forward to booking again. ##### Amber B. The owners were responsive and helpful. The property is nice with many new updates and more underway. It had all you needed for a home away from home experience.
