Dirty water

I called a day in advance to request an early check-in, as our flight was coming into LAX at 10am and check-in wasn't until 3pm. The receptionist said that would be fine, as they usually have a few rooms ready around noon. We arrived around 1:30pm (we had trouble trying to navigate the public transportation), and there was no one in the lobby. Around 2, a man collecting rugs came in and asked us if we had been helped. After explaining the situation, he calls in a woman who worked at the hotel. After the two of them talked back and forth in Spanish for a few minutes, she simply said "sorry. 3 o'clock." I mentioned again that I had called ahead and she did not seem the slightest bit phased, and just left us alone again in the lobby to wait. She must have come to her senses because she came back around 2:30 and checked us in. She apologized for our wait, and I was accepting of this as it had been an incredibly long day already and I just wanted to have a bath and a nap. The room seemed pretty clean and even had a microwave and fridge, so at first we were pretty pleased. But upon trying to fill the tub for a bath, we discovered there was no hot water. We called the front desk and they said they were calling someone in to fix it. We took a nap, and a few hours later, we called and they said the water should be ready. I started filling the tub with hot water, and it was spewing out some sort of brown liquid. Needless to say, we requested a refund and found a different hotel.

Hotel limpo e quarto amplo.

Pros: Limpeza e tamanho do quarto.
Location: O hotel fica em torno de 40 minutos de qualquer ponto turístico que você vá. Tem Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Subway e várias outras opções, como U$0,99.
Embora não tenha elevador, o hotel foi bem satisfatório. Estava limpo, teve sempre toalhas renovadas, o quarto era grande, com ferro, micro-ondas e frigobar. Tem muitas opções para comer próximo, e lavanderia também. Tem uma loja de U$0,99 que ajuda muito. Sua localização é bem longe de tudo mas é Los Angeles, então isso não conta.

Awesome for the Price

Pros: cleanliness, quiet, easy access to freeway, shops, mini marts and restaurants.
Cons: coffee in the rooms
Location: everything i had to do was close by, Disneyland, downtown LA...
For the price this hotel was awesome, lots of surrounding amenities (i.e. stores, shops, restaurants) it is also conveniently located with easy access to and from the freeway. The staff was super friendly. It is very quiet at night very clean both inside and out.. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family if they are looking for an inexpensive hotel. Expedia rates this hotel as a 2 but i would go with a very high 3 maybe even a low 4. but definitely not a 2

Hotel Staff Wanted

Pros: Leaving
Cons: Everything! Rooms smelled old, hotel staff was poor, the shower amenities (shampoo and soap) where terrible.
The hotel staff was lousy! Check-in was impersonal, I felt like I was a bother to them and for two days, several of us stood waiting for staff to show up on time for the 7am breakfast. I remember when Howard Johnson's was a reputable hotel, if this is an example of what HJ has become, find another place immediately!

El hotel cuenta con habitaciones cómodas, con WiFi, microondas y frigobar. Tiene estacionamiento gratuito. Pero lamentablemente está muy mal atendido y eso lo desvaloriza. El lugar para desayunar tiene sólo dos mesas, nadie repone las cosas a menos que te acerques a recepción y lo solicites y toda la atención es con fastidio hasta para hacer el check in.

Pros: La habitación y amplio estacionamiento, el barrio.
Cons: Si, algo del desayuno y asistencia en subir el equipaje al segundo piso.
Location: Lindo, negocios como en todo estados unidos.
Lindo barrio, lindo hotel, desayuno medido, sin ascensor si toca segundo piso con equipaje.

Pros: location, nice inviting buildings and landscaping, plenty of parking
Cons: moldy bathrooms, new pillow top mattresses
Location: plenty of shopping and eateries
mold all around in the bathroom, not inviting with the room. Mattress was hard and created a sleepless night for the most part. Staff was ok, not very welcoming.

Nice hotel close to everything

Pros: Everything
Cons: the only thing was the fact that the office is not open 24/7
Location: Downtown los angeles is only like 15-20 minutes away and there is food and stores nearby
We stayed for a week. We were really impressed for to be a 2 star rated hotel it was good. I would really recommend it. i know that on our next trip to California we are definitely staying here again. the housekeepers were really nice. Also like the fact that everything was so close by.
