We took a long weekend trip on our motorcycles to visit the area. The home was great and had everything we needed, and I can’t say enough about the view. Sitting outside in the morning and drinking coffee was wonderful. We saw dolphins out in the river so cool. We visited the town of Mathews and ate there twice. Restaurants had good food. Went to Gwynn’s island and ate at the hole in the wall it had good food and it’s a beautiful island. We visited the town of Smithfield and Gloucester great places to take a ride. I enjoy this cottage so much that I have booked a month-long visit twice and hope to do it again next year. The cottage is located at the end of the Piankatank River where it empties into the Chesapeake Bay. The views from the cottage, deck, and pier are lovely with incredible sunsets and sunrises. It is well stocked, very clean and comfortable. The hostess is quick to respond if there are any issues that need attention. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here, even though we spent most of it away from the house with family nearby. We did get to see the spectacular sunset one night though. The house was very clean and tidy, no musty smell at all. Glenda, the host, was very accommodating and quick to answer any and all questions thoroughly. The area is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views of the river and sunset. Overall it was a lovely experience for our quick get away, highly recommend! ##### Mary H.
