Wish it was as good as advertising
Staff was kinda friendly, but definitely put their personal needs ahead of the customers. Especially in the restaurant on site. They would be talking to each other and FaceTiming people on their phones, instead of doing their jobs. I never got my room cleaned once and had to ask for toiletries 3x during my stay. My mini fridge wasn’t even stocked when I got in the room, or ever replenished. You really do get what you pay for here. Definitely don’t recommend if you are not a backpacker or college student trying to save money but don’t want to go to a hostel. WiFi was extremely crappy as well. I will not be back to this place.

Don't recommend this place at all
The place is very outdated. Not like the pictures at all. The bathroom was disgusting. We had to ask for a different room and even then, it wasn't great. We asked the lady cleaning the room across from us for a towel because the one we had looked dirty and stained. An hour later I found her to ask again, after another hour of waiting, I didn't bother and went to buy my own.

Beds were hard as rocks. Air conditioner leaked everywhere. Shower only had cold water. Door locks seem unsafe, like anyone can break in. Pool was dirty and looked like it had not been clean in a long time. Buffet's food was mediocre and distasteful. We only stayed two nights and left after that to stay at a better place.

Ugly hotel. The air conditioner was leaking all over my room. The room was dirty with beds hard as rocks. The restroom was tiny with no ventilation. There was no elevator so we had to climb 4 flights of stairs with no air conditioning. The whole hotel was just stuffy and humid and dirty. DONT STAY HERE. We left after 2 nights and found a much better place.

Bad experience, please avoid booking! 1) E-mail to request for airport transfer arrangements but no reply. 2) Upon check-in, staff was not very welcoming. 3) Hotel/Resort felt more like a chalet. 4) Room condition was bad. - Chain lock was faulty - Sandy room - Mosquites/Flies in the room - Dusty bed-sheet - Bath-tub has algae stains - Toilet have a slight foul smell 5) TV has only one english channel (DW) so no entertainment shows. 6) Bad housekeeping. - Indicated ‘do not disturb’ but the cleaner attempted to enter twice! Once while I was in the shower where she knocked and opened the door so I had to shout while at the shower door and 2 mins later she attempted to open the door while my wife was changing! Overall, it was a horrible stay and was looking forward to check-out. I would highly recomend an alternative near-by, ‘Grand Sunset Hotel’, which we booked for our last 3 days as it was 1000 times better. Thank you.

A quick check of the reviews will tell you everything you need to know. I stayed here for 1 night 3 years ago and it was basic but fine. I again needed a 1 night stay and made the mistake of choosing this hotel again. Clearly there has been a change of management and it is now appalling. Have a look at the other recent reviews for details of the problems. In summary: the beds have mould growing on the bases and the mattresses are a joke; wifi only works in reception; the hotel insists on receiving a 2,000 THB deposit (when in all honesty the total contents of the room are not worth that much) the windows don't close (we changed rooms and this was the case in both rooms) which isn't good in a place where there are so many mosquitos; the hotel is staffed by a bunch of young people who don't seem to have a clue what they're doing and are clearly expecting complaints as the hotel is so poor; at night you would not want to sit in the lobby area or use the restrooms there unless you like giant cockroaches. When we left, the reception staff were refusing to refund the full deposit to a very confused Russian couple, claiming that they had caused 1,000 baht of damage to the shower. The shower consists of the most basic shower head stuck on the wall. They had tried, unsuccessfully, to deduct money from us for minibar items we had not used. Draw your own conclusions. This is the worst hotel review I have ever written. Don't stay there.

I have to say that this review will largely follow the rest of the reviews on this hotel. To put this into perspective I am a 21 year old male solo traveler from the UK. Upon arrival I was greeted by the rudest receptionist I have ever come across in my life. After refusing to believe I had made a booking(!!!) he finally found it and then told me to come back two hours later. After these two hours I returned to be thrown my room key and given no information about the hotel, breakfast, check out time etc. I visited my room to drop off my bags and was shocked by the sad state of affairs that I saw. The room was extremely basic (fine), and is not accurately represented in the photos on this website. The shower was covered in mould and the lower bed sheet was covered in dirt and stains. There were hairs and sand all over the tiled floor. Because I'm a down-to-earth guy I decided that it will do as I'll only be sleeping here and I'm on my own so don't have a partner/children to worry about. The hotel itself is extremely dirty, the breakfast is basic (which by the way is served from 7.00-10.00am) and there are bugs everywhere. I did not require the hotel staff for anything but by first encounter with the rude receptionist was enough for me to not bother. The rooms are not soundproofed and you can hear absolutely everything going on around you at night. I am dissapointed that Expedia even have this hotel on the website and I repeat - DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Please take the reviews into consideration.
At first, I figured that some of the reviews about the horrible staff and the poorly kept rooms was just written by your standard 'complainers'. I decided to book this hotel, as it was a fair price and in a decent location. Though the hotel itself has some potential, I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend staying here. The largest reason would be the absolutely horrid staff. We thought that this would just be one occurrence, but the staff stayed consistently terrible throughout our whole stay. How can hotel management allow for such garbage to work at a hotel? Example: We asked for an additional blanket at night. The night staff looked at us, grunted, and said MAYBE tomorrow. Like really? Is it that hard to grab a blanket? We never got the blanket. The room itself is quite dirty. The bed sheets and the towels had stains on them, the walls were stained, etc... Like I said, the hotel would have potential, as it is a fairly nice hotel, but it is just not well-kept because no one probably cares enough about it. Long story short, don't waste your money here... There is so much competition and so many nice hotels that there is no point of staying at this crappy hotel. We spent $5 more per night at a different hotel not far from there and are extremely happy with the kind staff, clean rooms, nice amenities, and the location.

I'm excited to tell you how sh**** this place is
Don't stay here, it's a sh** hole. Staff is rude. Check in process is overly long and involves a surprise 2000 baht deposit. A deposit that sizable should tell you what sorts of patrons frequent this place - the sort who get drunk and damage it. And it shows: markings on the walls that were never cleaned. When I checked in at 2 in the afternoon there were still beer bottles and trash everywhere. And THE SMELL was horrible. Wifi is a joke. Thin walls mean you'll be up all night listening to Russians and Chinese arguing/singing/whatever. In all: avoid this cesspool at all costs.

Very basic with faults but liveable for a night.
For the price it was ok. We stayed 2 nights and were glad that was all. Sheets were clean but room wasn't. Windows didn't close and mosquitos got in so we were bitten alive. Quite noisy with doors slamming. Reception didn't speak any English and we couldn't even get a drink in the restaurant.

Clean, Safe Resort
The Phulin Resort was a fifteen minute walk from the beach, located off one of the main streets. It was clean and had a nice pool. We went during the low season but the staff was still attentive and helpful with any requests. The location is also around the corner from a weekly street market located in one of the temples which was a nice surprise.

Descent hotel, situated on quiet street & has a sumptuous breakfast. Only thing that you might not like in this hotel is when guests returned to their room on early morning, you can hear them very loudly, not enough soundproofing between rooms apart from that no problem. Very helpful staff all round.

We enjoyed our stay the was helpful staff ,clean rooms,good breakfast food . Quiet and small walks you can do everything beach ,markets ,good restaurant and also bars. Water no problem 7 Eleven near. Recommend Oasis Bar And Cafe ,pastries and cheese cakes to die for ,Taste of Australian food with friendly bar next to it.

Phulin Resort staff are the best, but.........
The Phulin Resort is a nice 3 star facility, great value for money with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff especially to my eight year old son. The pool has beautiful, clean water and the buffet breakfast is standard but serviceable. Saying all that--and it does pain me to write what I'm about to--but I wouldn't recommend the Phulin to anyone considering staying there. Unfortunately for the Phulin it has nothing to do with the staff or resort itself but due to the fact that low rent tour groups from let's call it 'North East Asia Country X' are now almost exclusively the customer base for the resort. These tour groups from 'NEA X' are the loudest, most selfish, least considerate people I have ever encountered. On a few occasions the groups arrived at their rooms at 1.30am, yelling, knocking on doors and generally acting like year 9 camp without any consideration at all that perhaps other guests may be sleeping at that time of the morning. Smoking in no smoking areas, throwing cigarette butts into the pool, leaving butts and other rubbish around the pool, I could go on..... I feel terrible for the fantastic Phulin staff for needing to write this review, but I certainly wish I had read such a review before I booked which would have most definitely influenced by decision as to what accommodation I would have stayed in.

Helt ok hotell trevlig personal och väldigt fräscht. En väldig fördel att man kunde checka in när som helst. Enda nackdelen är att det finns inget handfat och spegel i toan utan i själva rummet sen finns det ingen hiss var lite jobbigt gå upp 4 trappor med en resväska Annars funkar detta boende om man inte har stora krav på boende.

В данном отеле не первый раз, но обслуживание стало намного хуже ;нет одеяла в номере (В 105),чай ,кофе перестали ежедневно пополнять, вода для питья в стаканчике 300 мл ,с полотенцами беда, единственное всех устраивает цена. Каждый выбирает по себе! В целом отдых был не плохой.

Pensavo fosse un 3 stelle ma così non è. Non ha ascensore e essendo al terzo piano con le valige nessuno ti aiuta. Molte zanzare in camera. Reception parla un buon inglese. Pieno di russi. Piccola piscina... wifi ok.

Ei koskaan enää tähän hotelliin!
Ilmalämpöpumppu oli kuin lentokoneen moottori. Avaimet sopivat ristiin huoneiden välillä, poika tuli meille omillansa. Vessassa kuollut torakka, jota ei siivottu pois, keräili kavereita ympärilleen. Siivoojat kävivät kääntämässä tyynyt toisin päin, lakanoita ei vaihdettu koko oleilun aikana (neljä yötä). Suihkusta ei saanut tulemaan sopivaa vettä, tuli joko kylmää tai todella kuumaa. Wi-fi ei toiminut huoneissa, vain vastaanotossa. Joka huoneessa piti kai olla kaksi rantamattoa, mutta toisessa huoneistamme oli vain yksi. Pitkän taistelun jälkeen vältyimme korvaamasta puuttuvaa mattoa, jonka olimme muka hävittäneet. Toisen huoneen kylpyhuoneessa ei ollut lainkaan lavuaaria. Äänieristystä ei ollut. Yleensä ei olla kovin tarkkoja majoituksen suhteen, mutta tämä oli alle kaiken arvostelun. Puoli tähteä siitä, että wc toimi...

Das Personal ist eher unfreundlich und spricht kaum Englisch . Die Hygiene bei der Zimmereinigung läss zu wünschen übrig. Ich hatte am ersten Tag keine warme Wasser in der Dusche. Das Safe ist nicht fixiert. Katze und Hunde laufen durch den Hotel und machen sich aud die Liegen bequem. Zusatzbetten stehen in die Gänge. Wenige Liege bei der Pool dafür VIP-Lounge gegen Gebühr.

親切なスタッフ
滞在者のほとんどはロシア人でした。彼らのマナーが時に気になることがありましたが、ホテル自体は良かったです。お風呂はお湯が出たり出なかったりスリリングでしたがそれも海外ならではだと思います。数日滞在していると気にならなくなってきました。何よりスタッフが皆さん親切でした。お互い片言の英語で、一生懸命に対応してくれました。最後はハグして涙のお別れをしてきました。カロン地区はそれほど大きくありませんがその分ビーチがとても綺麗です。夜中じゅう遊ぶのでなければちょうど良い賑わいです。

За 350 бат - лучше не бывает!
За номер на 2х заплатили 350 бат в сутки, останавливались на 5 ночей (получилось около 900бат с каждого - т.е. даром). За эти деньги всё супер - холодильник, сейф, большой тв, чистая постель, гель-шампунь, коврик для пляжа и полотенце для бассейна! Wifi только на ресепшн, в номере нет. До пляжа Карон 10мин пешком. Кафе, бары, ночной рынок, стиралки, магазины, массажи - всё есть вокруг. При этом ночью тишина, не как в большинстве отелей на улице ведущей к морю.

Хороший бюджетный отель в отличном месте
Отдыхали в апреле 2017, брали номер делюкс. Номер соответствовал описанию и фото на сайте. Главное брать делюкс и не на первом этаже. Стандартные номера попроще. В номере есть кондиционер, микроволновка, чайник, фен, холодильник. Все нормально работало. Чай, кофе, вода (по стаканчику на человека) - пополняют. Уборка каждый день, пол подметают. Пляжные полотенца не дают. До моря 10-15 минут пешком, дорога не напрягала, мимо кафешек, магазинчиков, макашниц. Хороший бассейн, был немного грязноват. Wi-Fi только в лобби, что заставляет людей собираться в одном месте. Качество связи хорошее, стоят диваны которые не мешало бы почистить. Из местных ресторанчиков рекомендуем sweet&sour (направо от отеля, сразу после храма) и elefant (налево от отеля) Завтрак в отеле скудный. Ремонт в отеле свежий, но простой. За эту цену вполне подходящий.

Hintaansa nähden hotelli sinällään hyvä, mutta pettymyksenä heti mennessä, kun kuvissa olevaa leivänpaahdinta ei ollut, eikä saanut pyydettäessäkään. Huoneeseen mennessä puuttui kokonaan wc-paperi. Pyyhkeitä vain yhdet ja vaihdettiin vain kerran viikossa, eikä lainkaan kasvopyyhkeitä. Lakanat vaihdettiin korkeitaan kerran tuon viikon aikana. Receptionin ainakin mieshenkilökunta epäystävällinen, täysin ilman hymyä ja empatiaa. Siivous täysin ala-arvoista. Keskilattioilta lakaistiin korkeintaan irtoroskat. Wc ja kylpyhuonetiloja ei siivottu milläänlailla kertaakaan. Kylpyhuoneen lattia ja seinänvieret todella likaiset ja edes wc-pönttöä ei pesty tuon viikon aikana hotellin toimesta lainkaan. Parvekkeella ei käyty kertaakaan edes lattiaa lakaisemassa.
