The property looks beat down a beat from wear and tears. I notice paint is falling off and getting faded. The pool is amazing and dumbed is ripping and falling off. Needs a tiny bit of maintenance. I saw a rat size of a New York rat swimming on the 3rd floor pool by bar. I was shock just lost it from there and scared

The location to the beach was excellent. It says city view but the view was the back of another hotel. Also lots of noise from the hallway at all times of the night. Room itself was very good. Loved the shower.

When I complained about being cheated with partial seaview room, office manager Sakda nearly assaulted me by waving his hand next to my face. Hotel would be so-so if it wasn't for him. I think he is mentally unstable but somehow the General Manager doesn't know it or doesn't want to know. I felt threatened there. Let this be a warning for other travelers.

The property is well positioned and close to the beach and shopping strip. The things we didn’t like were: 1. The room advertised in the picture was not what we got. We had a unrenovated room which was in poor state. 2. The fridge did not work and had to be replaced immediately. 3. Curtains in the room were taped to the wall. 4. The room smelt. 5. I provided clear instruction that we had 3 guests (2 adults and 1 child aged 14). When we arrived we were forced to pay an extra THD1000 per night because their policy indicated a child was to be under 11 years of age. The fine print was so fine and blurry that not even the hotel staff could firstly find the policy and then read it clearly. 6. The room had 2 twin double beds which could house 4 adults however the hotel insisted they were single beds and could only accomodate 1 adult each. 7. AC system struggled to keep the room to the required level. 8. On many occasions the room was not cleaned by 4pm so we had to ask for it to be done. The hotel have blamed last minute.com for the booking issue and took no responsibility. I contacted last minute.com and they admitted that you cannot modify number of guests who differ when flying and staying at the hotel and the drop down child age does not reflect the hotel policy. Overall , besides the staff trying to address the issues and ultimately putting us in a renovated room, I would be staying there again.

Good location and safe area. Old hotel but clean. All staffs I met were polite and gave good service. Will stay here again if I visit Phuket in the future.

The rooms and balconies are big but everything is old and mouldy. The furniture is chipped and badly overpainted and the rooms are damp. At breakfast I saw cockroaches at the salad bar.

We had a poor check-in experience. Our pre-paid non-cancellable room was to be a Signature Room King Size Bed for 3 nights. However, the hotel could only provide us with a Twin Bed. After much displeasure and insistence, the hotel could only give us a Swiss Advantage Room with King Size Bed for 1 night and move us to Signature Room with King Size Bed for the next 2 nights. They tried to make up for it by giving us Lounge access. To make things worse, the hotel was full mainly because of group tours that have block-booked the hotel. Due to the massive number of people, tranquility of the hotel is lost. We could not have a good night sleep as guests were talking loudly at the hallway. Some were even talking across from one end of the hallway to the other end. I do appreciate that hotels always want to have high occupancy rate, and group tours can help achieve this ratio. However, I wish Swissotel could choose which tour group or tour company they should partner with. With this latest experience, my friends and I are having second thoughts about staying at Swissotel when we next visit Phuket.

I would like to congratulate all the staff at Swissotel, a special mention to all the ladies on Level 7, Roxanne, Anne, Jennifer - all the girls on L7. Yous all did a wonderous job while we were there. The event we held for our sisters 50th - WOW! the food, the venue, the setup - my sister absolutely loved it!! Thanks does not seem to be enough, but believe me we all had the best time ever!! To the guys at the pool bar - U, thanks for putting up with us at happy hour and big Hi to John as well. Worst hotel experience you can imagine
This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve had in ages (or possibly ever), and I’m an extremely frequent traveler. I don’t need to write every issue up here, from not being able to check us in for several hours, to not cleaning our towels, or all of the other issues; the tipping point were the cockroaches. This place needs a total rehaul, a deep clean, and new staff.

Front desk manager Johathan Brendia was exceptional. Upon arrival he learned we were a little disappointed in our room and personally showed us several upgrades that were amazing. The entire staff was so friendly, polite and respectful making our 10 day stay in Phuket very enjoyable. About half way thru our stay my computer crashed and I had some very important business transactions to conclude, I was completely stressed out and at a loss for a solution when Johathan stepped up and offered his assistance saving the day enabling me to complete my real estate closing on time. Job well done , Thank You Sir

Checkin was Nightmare. They charged me for one of the rooms twice and claimed one was a “deposit” of almost $900 and I pretty much had to get into a full blown fight at ten front desk to get them to return the second charge. On top of that I extended my stay 3 days and pod the additional charges and when I went to check out they once again claimed I hadn’t paid and tried to charge me again. I’m not sure if they are trying to scam people or if they truly are just incompetent. Nina was the only one who was able to be of any help and was great the whole time. Other than her, all the staff were useless

Our room faced the street and was VERY noisy. The room was in serious need of an upgrade ; very shabby. Bed sheets looked like they were very old; stained, worn and no longer white. The room felt like it was a 2 star room.

Excellent services but rooms not so good.
Service was amazing. But the room conditional needs renovation badly. Room smell and have roaches everywhere. Location is good just a short walk to beach. Next to hard rock cafe and hooters. Can be noisy at night.
