I stayed at this resort for 2 nights as a solo traveler around NYE. The disappointment started at check in. Upon booking at hotels.com, it was written that the booking included NYE Gala Dinner. But at check in, the receptionist refused to honour this statement and made me wait for almost 45 minutes while she checked over the phone with a few people. She kept being confused with a standard discount sentence in the email by hotels.com due to her poor English. The reaction as if I was begging for the dinner left a bitter taste in my mouth, although in the end it was confirmed I was entitled for the dinner.
The biggest negative point which was only mentioned later at check in is that the beach is not suitable for swimming. The beach has a lot of dead corals - some people still try to swim but I advise not as the stones are really everywhere and sharp. Most people just lounge around the pool and swim in what I would not even call infinity pool.
The Premium Sea View room is overlooking the sea but the view is far from spectacular when you can see the roof of another villa right in front of your balcony. It does not create that overlooking the sea you would typically get from such a room.
Otherwise, the restaurant manager is very friendly, most staff are genuinely nice (albeit the typical Thai pleasantries which beg the question of sincerity), the food served during NYE buffet was delicious and the GM tried to be friendly to the guests. I would not stay again because of the beach
