1/5 Terrible

Please note I’ve traveled quite a bit through many and I’ve never felt the need to write a review until now. We flew up from Texas to watch my son Graduate from ASU. The reservations were made through Expedia several months before our trip. My son stayed at the Hilton just a few blocks away, but my daughter and I decided to say at Sonesta Suites Scottsdale Gainey Ranch because it was $200 dollars less per night and that savings could be used for a better graduation present for my son. I had never made contact with the hotel via text, phone or any other way because the reservations were booked through Expedia. I received a text the day before our trip that our reservations were in place. I had not traveled for over 9 months because my husband has cancer, and we couldn’t go out due to covid.
I am extremely allergic to down pillows and comforters. They make my eyes swell up, I get a cold and flu like symptoms and extreme migraines. It dawned on me as I walked through the front door that the facility may have down pillows and comforters. I asked the clerk at the front desk, and he said yes, they use down products. I asked if they could remove them, and he got “snarky” with me and said why didn’t I let them know before. I told him the reservation was made via Expedia and with all my other responsibilities I didn’t think about it until I walked in. There were 2 other areas where the staff was "snarky" and we tried to have as little contact with them as possible.
