Here's a refined version of your review: --- The location is exceptional and the pool renovation was impressive. We paid over $1,000 for a suite for the evening, where the check-in, valet, and bell services were all exemplary. However, the service left much to be desired. For Mother's Day, we rented a cabana at over $1,000, which did not include any food or beverages. It took our server 45 minutes to greet us, and our initial food and drink orders did not arrive until 90 minutes after we were seated. Our server checked in infrequently, about once every 45 minutes to an hour, compelling us to often fetch our own drinks at the pool bar or rely on pool staff to take our orders on their phones. It was evident our waitress was overwhelmed, managing all the cabanas and chairs in our area by herself—a clear oversight in management’s staffing. Dining at the Asian fusion restaurant that evening proved mediocre. The food was average, and the service was lackluster. We ordered a kid's steak plate along with our main courses, but the child's meal arrived 25 minutes after the other entrees and was undercooked and tough. We chose to simply ask for the bill and leave. Despite its potential and renowned name, we found this property overpriced and underwhelming in service quality. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

The property is beautiful with many options for families. On the other hand, housekeeping needs to be much better in 5 start resorts. We stayed here for 8 days and the housekeeping was dismal. The food is excellent ! The staff is very friendly and courteous.

We did 2 1-night stays as a stopover from San Diego to Sedona. The 1st day we stayed it was wonderful. The property had a lot of activities for kids. Very family friendly. We really enjoyed Tia Carmens and dined at the restaurant on both separate stays. The ambience was beautiful and the staff was amazing! However, when we ordered breakfast for room service on the 1st stay, the food was not cooked to our preference and was very cold. The man who delivered our food was very rude and seemed irritated he even had to deliver food to us. The 2nd day we stayed at the property and checked in, the room was smelly and hot. The AC was not turned on and the room wasn’t that clean.

Stay was great in terms of cleanliness and staff. The pool experience and the crowds there made the trip terrible. We could not find a single chair around the entire pool to sit in without paying to reserve one. We went down to the pool at 11:30-12pm for reference. We had to put our stuff on the concrete in a corner and hang out in the pool the whole time because there was no where to sit. Our party of 4 finally got a chair around 4pm. But we were close to leaving for dinner by then. For the price of the Marriott and most individuals staying here for the pool I would expect more non-reserved seats to be available without having to pay $500 additional for a half day cabana. Also parking is additional.

very good stay - we arrived around 10:30PM, a couple hours after our wedding, for the weekend...when we arrived, with my wife still in her gown, holding her flowers, and me in my wedding suit, unloaded our vehicle with no offer of help from the personnel manning the doors. I carried/hauled all the luggage to our room on the fifth floor...no help, no cart... However, Laura at the registration counter, who had helped me prior to our arrival, was very conscientious and helpful at check out. She was very friendly and understanding, and was not happy with the bell hop who was rude. When I asked for a cart to bring down the luggage I had carried up to the room by myself (he just said here is your cart and shoved it towards me). When my wife arrived earlier in the day, before our wedding, to prepare for the wedding, no one informed her at check in that our package included $50/day resort allowance or that our package included free self-parking... so we only ate once on property. When we ate later Saturday night we went off property, as we did for all our meals except one... the room and property were nice (not all the lights in the room worked and the iron was defective - supper hot and would have ruined our clothing if we had not checked it before using it).
