We were not familiar with the area and were pleasantly surprised. We ended up renting like 6 other homes through Jason as we were part of a very large group. The pictures do not do the area nor the home justice. All the TV's have access to games, netflix, hulu, etc and they are in every room. I could not get my kids to leave their rooms (in this case that was a good thing...as that meant quality relax time for us). The pool and hot tub were perfect and very clean (heated as well). The salt river was a ton of fun (very relaxing as well). We were also able to enjoy a ride in a world war II B17 bomber (airplane) across the street at the Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum (they give rides in other vintage airplanes as well). My husband and I loved the vintage pinball arcade just down the road...it was fun showing the kids the games we played growing up! Jason was very receptive to all requests and provided an unending stream of recommendations on restaurants/things to do in the area. We are definitely coming back. The Lost Dutchman Superstition Mountain Ghost Town was straight out of the movies (and free to see the shows and tour the buildings). We loved the home made fudge and ice cream as well as the old fashioned steak house. We stopped by Saguaro lake and did the river cruise as well (gorgeous landscapes with wildlife all around). The host of the cruise provided a great history of the area and was very entertaining.
