The building and room is very run down and grungy looking. The customer service was poor-upon arriving they gave us the key and left us to find our own way to the room, no directions, very little Care for customers and the site. The walls of the room look like they haven’t been painted in twenty years. The lighting in room was very dim, hallway doors and balcony doors have large gaps. Weak ac in the room. Weak wifi at best. Bed was okay. Breakfast was gross and inefficient-one lady with a hot plate trying to fry eggs for 20+ people...and she looks very unhappy to be there, as did other staff. There were two neighbor dogs that barked for hours during the early hours of the morning and we couldn’t shut down the noise level bc of the leaks around the door and open cement brink style windows in the bathroom. We asked for the front desk to help us make a local call (all other places did this as a courtesy for guests)...the manager told us we could only use his phone for 50 cents a minute. The front desk was not helpful or welcoming. This hotel felt very gettho like...but was a higher mid range price. We prepaid non refundable on line for two days-got out as soon as we could. Central Location initially got us there-close to palace and river and has a small pool... not ever going back and would not recommend the place.

Helpful staff
The hotel is situated a short walk away from the palace, about 5 minutes. The building itself is very nice but, it's not as well maintained. The rooms can use a fesh coat of paint and the sheets are stained and the shower was not separated from the toilet and the drainage was poor so every time I showered I ended up in a pool of water. Not pleasant. However, the rooms are big and the staff are wonderful. They are very helpful and cheery and friendly.

The location is great - near many eateries and very near to the top POIs in Phnom Penh. The staff were friendly. The wifi was a bit flaky.

Ok hotel with its pool as a selling point
The room was big but after staying across de rd for nearly the same price I was expecting a bit more. Loved the big balcony tho, loads of privacy. Breakfast was minimalistic, internet on the 4th floor was intermitent. No elevators. You get what you pay for.

Good hotel but...
The only "but" it would be that this hotel doesn't own a lift, so, if you are in one of the top floors, it could be a quite challenging.

Stay 4 nights - paid 5!!
Return visit to this pretty good hotel. After many previous visits Nice pool, clean rooms, and a free (forgettable) breakfast. Missed 1st night of 2 - 1 night reservations, due to flight being very late. Sent cancellation email to ask to apply the funds for a future night. Email returned unread. Repeated request, upon checkout, and was stonewalled. So: Pay 5 nights get only 4. May not return. I am a frequent visitor to PNH and may be looking for a new hotel for future visits.

Hotel is poorly run. Building isn't that old but seems much older. It needs some basic maintainance like a new coat of paint. WiFi very unpredictable and patchy. Breakfast take it or leave it.

Sheets not changed in 5 nights, pool good, bath quite dirty we had to clean it, no kettle for coffee, omelette breakfast fine, general state of hotel run down and not clean beyond front foyer, staff friendly and helpful, noisy busy street can avoid if not in front room, air con not working moved to another room but this is common problem at budget hotels.

Basic Hotel
Very basic hotel in Phnom Penh that is close to place and water front.. room was clean, good internet access but bed was rock hard and only one small pillow. ask for another but they didn't have any spares. Pool was small but clean. No lift service to the four floors of hotel. breakfast extremely basic. fried egg or omelette with toast. Staff were helpful with booking of transport but overall expensive for what is offered.

Going down hill.
I stayed here for over a month several years ago and found it a good enough place. But this trip I move out after a couple of days. Tired of things not working and tired of the demotivated staff. I don't know who owns this place but they need to reinvest some of their profits back into the business.

Met our needs
In our short stay the hotel met our needs. We had a strange room with a gigantic bed though. We could have slept 4 or 5 people in that bed. The A/C could have been stronger, but was adequate. The pool was nice to cool off in. The hotel was in walking distance of the palace and theater as well as many shops.

Staff did not seem to be into being helpful!
I get there after a 7 1/2 hour bus ride, tired ready to crash. It's 3pm, they check me in and my hands are full. The girl reaches over to help and grabs my pillow! Really, my pillow! And when she brings me to my room it's slept in from the last guest, dirty and I say, the rooms not clean. Oh she says and doesn't explain anything just leaves. So I go wait in the lobby for 30 min and still no one says anything, I finally go check and they had cleaned it! It just seemed like I was not a guest but someone that they didn't want to help.

The hotel is well located near the Palace. The room is what you'd expect at the price and the staff were friendly. The shower was cold and not powerful. The info says hotel shuttle but they don't have one. They'll just call you a taxi or a tuk tuk.

Basic breakfast cooked in front of you and airport drop off arange at a good price. Overall, I would recommend this place.

This hotel is great. The rooms are spacious and clean. Many complaint about the hotel its a moderate hotel nothing bad about it. Good for location and service in Phnom Penh.
This hotel is on a side street, so it's more quiet, than some on the main streets. It's right down the street from the main attractions, Palace, Riverfront and nightlife. It's has a nice pool, not much room to sit around but very nice after a long hot day. The staff were always helpful and happy to help you, even offering things to do. The only negative was the bed, it was hard as a rock and I couldn't sleep, so I got drunk every night, lol, just so I knew when I hit the bed, there was no wondering if I was sleeping on concrete. Next to that, it's a nice hotel, for price and where you are from everything, I hope this helps you

I love this hotel. Maybe it has some sentimental value, but I will always stay here when I'm in Phnom Penh. There is no lift and stairs only, but someone will help you with your things. The pool is nice. And it's comfortable. The river walk is within walking distance as are many restaurants, museums, night market, and the Royal Palace. Grand Central Market is also a quick tuk tuk ride away. Phnom Pehn is loads of fun and it's super affordable.

Perfect location & lovely staff
The interior of the hotel is colorful and inviting, and the staff are very nice. The room was spacious and immaculate with a lovely balcony to take in the morning or evening air. It is in a great central location and the hotel has a team of tuk tuk drivers ready to take you to Central Market or the array of sites around Phnom Penh. Mr. Kon was my driver, and was very kind and helpful. Great value and wonderful stay!

Adequate room with tricky in-room safe, needed repeated help to use it. Shower also tricky, with 5 or 6 valves to get all correct for water to flow. Swimming pool: nice but in the sun except for late or early in the day. No need for a fitness facility if you have a walk-up room on floor 5 as I did. All in all would ret'n

Needs Manager Who Knows How to Run a Hotel
Nice rooms and pool, many issues with the hotel that could be addressed with some care. Slow and/or crashed wifi every day. Staff has no training in addressing guest issues. If you want a cheap place with a pool this is a good alternative. But be warned-G Eleven is cheap with plenty of rooms available for a reason. It's close to several hotels and restaurants, so there are mobs of tuktuk drivers parked outside. They stalk your movement and jump up and stand in your way as you exit. Say no to the first and three others who watched you say no repeat the same action. Management does not care, it embraces their actions. Many drivers sit inside socializing with the hotel staff, watching movies on their phones, using the hotel's wifi, which explains why it crashes so often for paying customers. I complained about this and some other issues and the manager with little English skills, smiled and said he would look into it. I asked later and he hadn't looked into it and didn't have an answer. He was convinced all you have to do with guests is smile and say he will look into it because he did it three more times until I gave up. One bad issue in my room was finally fixed after three requests by a maintenance worker who then shook me down for a tip.

We had a pleasant stay at the G Eleven. Room was spacious and clean, pool was lovely. Staff very helpful in booking onward travel and tours. They have their own tuk tuk drivers who are always happy and reasonably priced. A short walk to the grand palace and the river where there's plenty of restaurants. I would definitely recommend.

It's Cambodia - so play it smarter than me....
Very mixed feelings Pros: Great location Big room w windows & balcony Much better than other places I saw nearby for the same price So-sos: Clean but mouse droppings in some corners Breakfast OK Some tuk-tuk drivers were quite rude Cons: WiFi didn't work in room No hot water Major issues: Someone (from the hotel I assume) stole $100 out of my locked room. I told the staff and they acted concerned but basically told me it didn't happen. I am 100% certain that I left the money zipped inside a toiletry bag sitting on the bed, so not in plain sight but not well hidden either. On the one hand I'm quite angry to have money taken from inside my hotel room - felt worse than getting a bag snatched on the street might have. On the other hand I should have taken better precaution with my "valuables" in a country whose average income is in the hundreds of dollars per year.... Still.... Also, I was a solo woman. One bellhop kept telling me he liked me, sort of following me around, and then one night he knocked on my door at 11pm to offer fresh towels? Nothing happened but I found it pretty odd and it made me uncomfortable. I personally wouldn't stay there again as these incidents left a bad taste, but if they hadn't happened I'd be saying the place was fine. Moral: Keep your wits about you and don't expect things to be the same as traveling in Western countries...

Nice place with much needed pool
Nice hotel in a good location with clean rooms and friendly staff. You can definitely find cheaper rooms in PP (the streets are wall to wall guesthouses) but it was worth paying a little extra for the luxury of the swimming pool which was much needed in the sweltering heat of the city. Prices for a room for 2 people are much more reasonable (seems to be the way across PP)
