Peace and Quiet

Posted 6-Jan-2016
The first employee I encountered at the front desk was courteous and helpful although the hotel somehow canceled my reservation. She called her manager and they fixed the issue by treating me as a walk-in, eventhough i requested and reserved a certain room. The second front desk i encountered was rude, never looked up to address me and was reading her paper throughout my questioning of why there wasn't an ashtray in my room. She then told me I wasn't allowed to smoke in that room, which perplexed me because I reserved a smoking suite. I had to insist on speaking to the Manager on Duty, who clearly heard her clerk be rude, which she addressed in front of me about arguing with a guest. Her name is Shannon, and I hope I never have to deal with her again. I love this hotel, since it was the Ramada, and always enjoy relaxing there when I'm in that area of Philadelphia

Not too bad for the price

Posted 28-Dec-2015
This hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the room was a nice size. The only complaint I have was that the whole hotel smelled like smoke. We stayed in a non smoking room, which still smelled like smoke. This hotel gets a 3/5.

Pros and cons

Posted 21-Oct-2015 on Hotels
I had a great stay in Philly and the hotel staff were lovely people. Very nice. The lobby is nice but once you get to the 2nd floor. It's like you are somewhere different. The hallway reeks of pot and stale cheese. The room smells horribly and there was snot on a section of the wall. The room was comfortable though and the location is central to shopping. Best: Staff. Worst: Room cleanlineness

Phone to the room did not work and desk clerk seem to not care when it was brought to his attention. Room did not have menus for local restaurants.

Not Bad

Posted 13-Oct-2015
Pros: The fridge and microwave in the rooms.
Cons: Make sure the rooms are refreshed meaning the air quality. Our room smelled musty or like mildew when we arrived. We immediately turned on the fan.
Location: Good diner down the street that serves good food and you get soup, salad, drink and dessert included in your price. Comedy show & roller skating too.
This was my 2nd stay at this location. The rooms are really nice for the price especially when they come with a refrigerator and microwave.
