The noise was a huge issue the apartment above was throwing a weekend party so we did not get any peace for 2 days. Only had one wash cloth. The apartment was neat and tidy but did not appear CLEAN. The host was responsive, and the apartment itself was charming with nice decor and a lovely little view of Chinatown. You can't beat the location—it is central to everything, including the Liberty Bell, historical sites, and incredible dining options like Reading Terminal Market. This is an ideal spot for anyone planning to spend their time out exploring the city.There were a couple of minor hiccups that we wanted to note. When I arrived, the kitchen stove/counter had not been properly cleaned and the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Also, the fire alarm was hanging and beeping from a high ceiling upon my late arrival, but the host was quick to respond the next morning, and I was able to quickly fix it ourselves with the maintenance ladder in the hall. A minor note: you may hear the neighbors' children on the weekends in the living area, but the bedrooms are quiet and it wasn't too much of an issue.Tip for drivers: Check out the Spot Hero lot right around the corner. The owner provided easy access and accurate info.Cons: The apartment is in a note so nice part of Chinatown and although is part of Center City is definitely a good walk from any of the convenience of staying downtown.The main issue is the apartment next door. No, idea of whats going on there, but there was yelling non stop any hour of the day, including at 1am and 4am at night. It actually seemed like it never stopped. And it was alarming and scary enough I was not willing to knock on the door to ask if they could keep it down.......was worried about what might happen to me.Too bad, the actual apartment is great..... but i would NEVER stay here again, and i come to Philly regularly. ##### Terry M.
