The night we arrived the staff person was friendly & helpful. The lobby & dining areas were well kept & nicely decorated. Those were the only good things about our stay.
The room was old & cramped. The window shades were literally in shreds. The bathroom looked reasonably clean but the bathtub did not look clean at all. The beds were hard as rocks. They were so bad we couldn't sleep on them. There was too much furniture jammed into the room. Minor things could have improved it, like hanging the TV on the wall instead of placing it on a large piece of basically useless furniture. There was no storage. One plus, there was a nice desk, but you could barely get to it because there was hardly any walkway between it & the bed. I believe this room was originally designed as a room with a single bed, but Hampton Inn jammed two beds into the small space. You could not access the sides of the beds. They were jammed up against the sides of the walls so you could only get in the bed from either one side or the bottom of the bed. Not great for couples, since someone had to crawl across the bed to get in & out of bed.
Breakfast was awful. Eggs ran out by 9:00, tho breakfast went till 10. When guests inquired about the staff was rude & yelled. All of the food was cold & the milk was warm. There was hot water & decaf, but the coffee was hot, brown H2O-tasted like grounds were reused many times. Our room was never leaned in 4 days we were there. We'll never go back to Hampton Inn again.
