Wonderful bed and breakfast! The host was extremely sweet and accommodating. She provided great advice on nearby activities and eateries! She has three cats and they are all so friendly (I’m not typically a cat person) - but I loved them! Great experience, 10/10 recommend!

Staying here was so great. The bed was very comfortable and the host was so welcoming and sweet. She has three beautiful cats who love to snuggle and cuddle! Breakfast was also great. There were an assortment of fruits, pieces of bread, and cereal. Next time I visit Philadelphia I will be sure to stay here again.

It's an old house in a historic district, and that is something that I love. I also love cats, and one in particular was a friendly sweetheart. I was in Philly for work, and after a long day, having a four-footed friend delighted to see me when I came in at night made it feel like home! I was working long days, and so I didn't get time to sample the "breakfast" aspect here, so I have no way to rate that.

Unclean (not vacuumed, dirty towels in bathroom, nail clippings under doily on bureau Was “instructed” to sleep under sheets Was “instructed that breakfast was at 8am sharp (she would clear table at 8:30am) and no hit entree offered. Private WiFi would not stay connected.

A quaint and fascinating house filled with artwork, sculpture and a few cats. The owner is a delight to converse with - an expert in archaeology, South American history, Shakespeare and marketing - unique and wonderful woman. I highly recommend for more than just one day. Plus the breakfast is wonderfully laid out and a great selection of breads and cereals.

This property was FABULOUS!!! Definitely 11 of 10 stars!! The owner has a WEALTH of knowledge about the city and things to do and is super nice. This house is over 100 years old and on a cobblestone street. The rooms are so cute and spacious and furnished with antiques. We LOVED the Parlor room!! AWESOME front porch to sit on and a delicious and healthy breakfast. It was great meeting the other guests at breakfast each morning. IF you love cats (which we do) there are 3 super friendly cats .GREAT Location for our needs! We used LYFT so saved on car rental costs. This place exceeded our expectations and was SO reasonable compared to the other hotels nearby. IF we go back the Philly, we will DEFINETLY stay here again :)

So much hospitality and charm - great place to sta
My review is a tad late and to the amazing host- I apologize. Jusy stopping in for a quick business trip, I was pleasantly surprised tp have scored a stay at a B&B for such an affordable rate. From the moment I entered the home I was felt like I was coming home to my family's house. The home decorated with so much character and personality really tells a story about the home owners life and the state she loves. My room lacked nothing for comfort- the hostess warned me I wouldn't want to get out of bed because it was so comfortable and she was right. The B&B had two cats who are so sweet, curious and loveable. For breakfast the hostess served fresh fruit and artisan/gourmet breads which was wonderfully delicious.. What i enjoyed most about my trip was the conversations with the hostess. What a brilliant mind and a life of adventure she had- I would have loved to have stayed longer just to converse with longer. This place is definitely NOT kid friendly- there are so many wonderful antiques and treasures on display. I will definitely be back and I HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a home away from home. I promise you won't be disappointed. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!!

The four-poster bed was creaky and the mattress too narrow for 2 adults. The breakfast was self-serve toast and cereal, with some cut-up fruit which was not fresh. Some eggs or other protein (even yogurt) would have been nice! Also, the bread was stale and even in some cases moldy, and the cats were allowed to jump up on the side table and walk over the cutting board. To be fair, the room was cozy and well-appointed, and the main floor of the house beautifully decorated with antique furnitures and paintings. But our stay was disappointing in terms of the basics.

A very nice B&B in local neighborhood for relaxed
It was a wonderfully cozy stay, I enjoyed the best quality room and breakfast as well as a few local diners. Perfect for a relaxed museums oriented stay. It s hidden from the tourists path but not too far :)

此家B&B相當優良，不僅房子與房間美麗、環境非常清潔，且屋主(一位年長的當地女士)格外令人感到珍惜 - 學識豐富、修養良好、活力有趣.......；入住時她不僅向我介紹住宿環境，亦向我介紹了非常多(她的學識內涵相當令人欣賞)費城當地的各種資訊，例如推薦的景點、地區的歷史等；聊天的過程中讓人感到相當舒服。早上與屋主一同共進早餐(餐點有新鮮水果、牛奶、果汁、麥片、各類麵包、熱茶....等，相當豐富)，輕鬆地聊各種話題，經驗相當美好。此外，屋主有三隻可愛討喜的貓，亦為居住時溫暖的陪伴。此住宿相當推薦予希望對費城(或是美國)有更多認識與了解的旅客，當然亦推薦予期盼擁有舒適美好住宿經驗者。 A very nice B&B ...... Not only because of the beauty of the house (furnishing and decoration, cleanliness .... etc. ) but also because of the host who would be cherished - knowledgeable, elegance and with good manners, energetic and ...... interesting ! She introduced lots about Philadelphia (sights of interest, history ...etc. ) as well as America. It was comfortable and pleasant while having chat with her. The breakfast was enriching (such as fresh fruits, different kinds of cereals,bread, and drinks) and had nice and relaxed chat as well. In addition, there were other warm companies - three cats which were lovely. I would recommend this accommodation to people who hope to understand or learn more about the city (or the U.S.), and of course to ones who are looking forward to experience a stay of comfort and pleasantness.

This B&B has very comfortable accommodations. When you enter, you feel like you've been here before, even if you haven't. You will feel right at home! The large rooms are still cozy. And if you love cats, you will love your housemates! I definitely recommend!

A beautiful stately house filled with antiques and art, in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Very friendly hostess. This is a home with a history. A stay is like a return to elegant by gone days. Parking is easy on the street.

I learned from this that I'm really not a B&B person. The room and bath were clean, but the home does have a strong cat odor. It was not ideal for a business trip, a desk would have been helpful. There aren't many food options nearby.

Very friendly atmosphere
Host was very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Within minutes of a train to take you into downtown. Only an $8 uber ride back to location. B&b was beautiful and in a beautiful area. We had a wonderful experience. Check out Morris arboretum, its wonderful.

Very bad, unclean cold bedroom on third floor (no elevator). Door did not close, with a cat walking on bed, pillows, everywhere. In January 2017 we had a family funeral near the Philadelphia International Airport. We booked 2 nights with Burbridge B&B only because it advertised fraudulently that it was 1.18 miles from the airport. Marnie was aware of this. This B&B is in Germantown, 20 miles of city driving from the airport. You compete for parking on the street. This is a very old house so you have to drag your suitcases up steep steps to get to the porch. I am almost 80 but Marnie gave us a third floor bedroom meaning more steep steps for our baggage. We did not stay. I said we could not stay because of health conditions and offered to pay for the first night. Marnie refused to allow us to cancel the second night and charged us for both nights. Expedia later corrected the charge for the second night at their expense.

We stayed here for the Philadelphia Marathon. He pictures made it look like a cozy little B&B. Unfortunately it wasn't what we expected. You're basically renting a room in someone's house. A nice older lady runs the place. She will give you a lengthy run down of every aspect of the property when you check in down to a 10 minute seminar on local restaurants. Breakfast is only served at one time so if that doesn't work for you plan to eat out. The bedroom wasn't particularly clean. There was a layer of dust in most of the surfaces and there are 4 cats that roam the house. According to the proprietor the cants don't enter the rooms but the quilt in our room had an obvious layer of cat hair on it. The proprietor gave us strict instructions on the proper way to turn down the bed which I thought was a bit too much. There was also (human) hair on the pillow. Then there is the safety concerns. There was an outlet without a faceplate within arms reach of the shower (near where you would naturally place your towel) and within 18 inches of the sink. Basically this means you have exposed electrical wires near a water source. The stairs to the third floor appear to be pulling away from he wall. It was a little unnerving to see this when you're headed to your room. There was also no way to lock the door to our room. We heard the people in the room next to us get up several times throughout the night to use the shared bathroom. There was no basic way to secure the door.

Great Bed and Breakfast!
The bed and breakfast was great and it was a great price! I enjoyed my stay. For those who are not familiar with a bed and breakfast, you should do your research on what a bed and breakfast is (you're staying in someone's private home, using their stuff, etc). But it was great, and I actually preferred this bed and breakfast over a hotel. The cats were very cute too!

Proprietor was very accommodating of our last minute schedule modifications. Cats were extremely nice but wish I knew in advance so I could have taken allergy meds in advance. If you want a room which locks do ask. Breakfast was splendid and morning conversation among guests was great.
