The staff were courteous and kind. The room was clean and the accommodation lovely. The food was very lovely, the buffet breakfast nice. However there was no inside restaurant at night, just beachside

We had the first room directly on the main road which was to loud, then we changed to an other room, but this one had a smelly bath room. We changed again the room, but then the shower was cold, they tried to fix it but it didn’t work. Also the stuff was not switched on and not as friendly as you would expect.

Beautiful hotel. It's authentic style and decor of Asia made you feel like you where in the heart of Thailand and didn't need to leave the front gates. Outstanding location of pool and beach. Great value.... was sorry to leave.

Disappointed!
This hotel is catering to package tourist from (northern) Europe. No 'Thainess' to it, instead a sad mix of Chinese, mediterranean and Thai decor! Guests staying just for a couple of nights, as we did, not very welcome. Breakfast bland and uninspired, as is the food served at the pool restaurant. Very slow service! We, an expat family living in Bangkok, booked this hotel based on its reviews for 3 nights on a road trip through southern Thailand and it was, by far, the worst hotel we ever stayed in in SEA!

Perfect stay for couples or families
We would definitely stay again. Friendly staff and lovely premises. Not too big or too small. Love it had big glass doors to see outside and good size balcony to sit on. Rooms a very good size. Location on the 'bay' perfect, as with the beach.

superb hotel in Khao lak
If you want a relaxed holiday near the beach with superb large swimming spaces and spa treatments that are truely sensational, then Khao lak resort is THE place to stay!!

Nice Resort on the Beach
The staff are all very friendly and the location of the resort is great. The grounds are beautiful and we loved having a bungalow right on the beach. While I understand that it's essentially in a jungle we had too many ants crawling around the room. They need to spray or use traps for ants. When the waves would crash hard at night we had lots of big ants running out of the trim and down the walls. They were on the floor and even found one smashed in bed with us.

Excellent Hotel
This was our second time in Khao Lak but the first at the Laguna Resort. We found the hotel excellent and very accommodating. Had booked through Expedia and within days if the booking I realised I had booked the wrong room. I contacted Expedia to change it. They got back to me to say I could change the room when I got there. Unfortunately there was no record of this call and the hotel was fully booked. They made every effort and after 2 days we were moved to the room of our choice. The busy road did not detract from our stay and once in the hotel's grounds you were unaware of the road. we ate in the hotel at lunch time and whilst it was more expensive than local restaurants it was not exorbatant. We'd go back.

THE PERFECT PLACE FOR WHAT WE WANTED !
We needed a place to unwind and relax and Khaolak laguna resort fitted the bill perfectly, totally pampered by the excellent staff and peaceful surroundings on the waterfront with a good swimming beach. We had a oriental villa 30 metres from the beach which was spacious, with good facilities, clean and well presented.The gardens are vast and well kept making for pleasant walks. A good bar and restaurant on the waters edge makes for pleasant evenings and socialising with other guests from Europe ,UK and many other countries. Food at this resort is excellent and fairly priced which is good because when it is very hot, for us, being in the older age group, it is quite testing to walk to the nearby village. We managed the many steps at the hotel relatively easily but for handicapped people it would be very testing. We wish to thank all the staff and management for your personal attention during our 8 night stay and WE WILL BE BACK.

Fantastic stay by the sea
We have just returned from a fantastic four day/five night stay at the Khao Lak Laguna Resort. It was a wonderful relaxing time at this super hotel with its generously large and well appointed rooms, lovely gardens and super friendly staff. For us it is 5 star plus plus.

Great resort bad housekeeping
Great beach resort for couples. Facilities great. Breakfast too western. 3 out of 4 bathrobes went missing and they tried to charge. I asked them to check my bags which they did and duly rescinded their charge. Just plain embarrassing for everyone.

Premium friendly hotel in the heart of Khao Lak.
Excellent facilities in a friendly atmosphere. Relax & enjoy the beautiful sandy cove beach aswell as a lovely pool area. Easy walking distance to local restaurants & shops. Extra facilities to entertain a family too.

Not as good as Phuket Laguna Resort
Having stayed a few years ago at Phuket Laguna Resort, we were a little disappointed with some aspects of Khao Lak Laguna Resort - breakfast buffet was not as amazing a spread as we'd experienced in Phuket; there was no kid's club and check in experience was poor. However, overall we still had a good stay - there was a choice of uncrowded pools; rooms were spacious & comfortable; and Khao Lak centre was conveniently within walking distance.

Luxury after a liveaboard
Stayed overnight after 6 nights on a liveaboard trip to Myanmar. Very handy location (close walk to KhaoLak centre - restaurants, bars, shops). Nice resort - rooms are big, pool and beach front superb.

Great Hotel in Great Location
Had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and well laid out. We were travelling with our baby and there was a very comfy and safe travel cot already set up in the room when we arrived.The hotel is just at the start of the main strip in Khao Lak so all the shops and restaurants are right on your doorstep. The resort itself and the beach in front of the hotel is peaceful though. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Standard resort with great location
Expedia.com website promised ocean view from Siam Chalets. I contacted Expedia twice and hotel twice in advance to make sure this is true. No answer from either. No ocean views either even though we were able to move away from a "cellar" room. My plan was to make a study on hi-quality resort. General Manager of Laguna Resort didd not want to meet, nor (s)he replied to my notes. Airport transportation I bought from Expedia was cancelled last minute. No refund possible in realistic way, since there will be more ecpenses than refund for non-US clients.

What a find!
Can sum the hotel up in one word - WOW - The location is perfect, about 500 metres from the village centre so quiet - All staff were polite and helpful, breakfast was everything any one would want, fruit, bread, eggs cooked to order by a chef behind the counter, Thai breakfast selection was different, nice alternative. Pool area was always clean, never had a problem with 'reserved' sunbeds, but we were not there in peak season, next to a wonderful beach if you want a walk only issue I had was wifi did not log in in the room, mentioned this at reception and next day working fine, so no complaints with that. The grounds and numerous ponds and man made streams running round the hotel gardens were well kept, with workers cleaning rubbish and leaves out at least weekly, qso the gold fish in them were well looked after. Cannot think of anything bad to say about this hotel or staff. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Pleased famliy visit to Khao Lak!
Staff were VERY friendly, this made the difference. Rooms are OK, not all things working though. Could do with more activities - kayaking, badminton, volleyball are just 3 simple ideas.

The staff friendly, lacation in good area, the covers was not clean we change it twice, swimming pool nice near the beach, they offer to me to upgrade to oriental villa within 500 THB but it was without wifi, overall the resort was nice.

friendliest people ever. all spoke reasonable english the location is especially good 200yds to town and right on beach only quibble no room safes, and late checkout cost as much as a night stay even for only 4 hrs (16:00 instead of 12:00)

Khao Lak Laguna Resort was good all round and even excellent in some respects. Can't really fault it for anything. We had a Siam chalet. It's the cheapest room type. The room is large and has all you will need. I calculated that I have now visited 17 hotels on the various beaches of Thailand. Laguna makes TOP3. Recommended.

Compared to some of the other resorts that I'd stayed at in the vicinity, I must say that this resort was a very good value if all you expect to do is veg out and enjoy their very good and reasonably priced spa. The only two problems I'd experienced was trying to get a hold of the front desk before 9AM or after 7PM local time. While it seems there are people there, no one answered the phones outside of those hours. The other problem was the restaurant, closed at 7PM, making it difficult to grab a bite to eat after arriving in the evening. There are places across the main street that will still serve after 7, but thought it was a little annoying to have to find somewhere to eat on a resort.

To many people. Low quality food. 2 of 100 staff employees spoke english. Not service minded. THEY made a mistake in booking 2 single beds, we had to pay ekstra 1000 baht for double bed. Will never go there again, compared to the choice of staying at all the other great resorts in Thailand. This resort is a 2-3 star resort...

The room was more than expected. A great buffet breakfast and restaurant service. If I could recommend anything, I would improve the language skills at the front desk. Many customers were frustrated trying to communicate. I would return to this beautiful resort :)

The hotel room is very spacious.
The hotel room is very spacious. Staffs are very nice and friendly especially at breakfast area. Bathroom is very nice with design, functions and cleanliness. Location of the hotel is good for those who wanna have a night life outside the hotel as well as the hotel beach front is really nice view. It's one of the nice hotels in Khao Lak where we can strongly recommend to our friends.
