"My wife and I spent 5 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa in April, 2024. The room and beach were great. The facility itself is enormous, far more so than I had realized when I booked our stay. It's a Marriott, so expect meals to be priced double (or triple) what you might pay at nearby (and far less fancy) restaurants; indeed, meals were priced a good bit higher than what we had paid at similar or nicer hotels in Seam Reap, Bangkok and Hanoi. "What a stunning setting. We experienced one of the pool villas with garden view and were just amazed by the comfort and tranquility we could have in this setting. Absolutely fabulous. The only "negative" point for this hotel: in-house dining is quite expensive, but of really good quality. However, there are many small and nice local places around the hotel and all in walking distance. No need for any taxi."

"We had an acceptable pool villa with beach access for which we had paid handsomely however I’d have been horrified to be in the huge block rooms. The resort is jaded and unloved.
