A well positioned hotel amongst all the hustle and bustle of HCMC. Room was a little small as there was too of us sharing, but overall very functional and clean. Staff were very helpful and were were within walking distance of anything we desired.
Location is good; within District 1 and is near to a few main tourist attractions. Shuttle bus to a few drop-off points is provided for. We were fortunate to get an upgrade to executive level through corporate connections. The private check-in & check-out at the executive level were fuss-free & speedy. Each and every staff were very polite, smiley & helpful.
On the 1st night, the shuttle bus which we wanted to take to the Opera House left when we came down to the lobby. The staff was really helpful & took initiative to actually call the driver to turn back & pick us up. We really appreciate that gesture.
The daily breakfast spread & the quality of food was good which is why we make an effort to wake up early to enjoy it! However, we unfortunately did not get to enjoy the daily high tea provided for as we were out the whole day everyday. We were glad that there was a well-established spa (Thann Sanctuary Spa) within the hotel which we went to as we were unsure of the spas outside in the city. The only thing we wish was better are the pillows in the room; one was too soft & the other was a tad small. It will be wonderful if there was a pillow menu to choose for the types of pillows preferred.
Anyhow the overall experience & stay was wonderful and we are looking forward to coming back to Ho Chi Minh & staying with Pullman again soon...They have done a great job in making our stay pleasant & creating good memories for our trip!
Traveller from Singapore
Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, close to Ben Thanh market and the major tourist attractions, the upscale Pullman …More
They overbooked and gave me an upgraded room. However the upgraded room is the same size as the room that I booked, I suspect their regular rooms would be smaller than advertised. The room was nice with a view of Bitexco tower. Their gym was non functioning. The weight resistance machine's cables were all loose.
We had a bit of miscommunication with staff course of English but everyone was very helpful and kind.
Location was good but it was bit noisy till late night with loud music cause here was very close to many bars and backpackers area.
Room was always well cleaned .
I booked a room that was 27 m². They tried to give me a room that was smaller at first, after I rejected it, they gave me the room I booked. *06 is the room number. Get their double room with two beds and have them combine the two beds into one. There is a cool Shisha/Hookah spot around the corner.
"nice little hotel in Saigon down town Bui Vien St."
Staff were very nice and helpful, breakfast included with hotel stay, convenient location, can walk to Ben thanh Market and Bitexco Tower. Reasonable rate. Special thanks to Mrs. Yen, hotel manager. Room was very clean and quiet.
Great 10 day stay without a glitch. Staff were always willing to help and make recommendations of the surrounding area which all worked out very well. Front desk, housekeeping, waitstaff and rooftop staff are suburb and the overall
general cleanliness of the hotel is excellent.
As in any active and polar tourist area there was some construction noise during the day but they were careful to minimize it and stick to a reasonable daytime schedule. Ear plugs are provided in the rooms which caused us to be suspect of excessive noise at first but we had an off street room and outside road noise or noise from the surrounding clubs was non existent!
"room size matches with advertised size, near bars"
This is a rarity in Saigon. Their room sizes actually match the advertised size. Most hotels in Saigon exaggerate their room size. This hotel doesn't. If the website says 25 square meters, their room is actually really 25 square meters, not 10 or 15 as most hotels are.
very good location and surprisingly quite if you get one of the internal rooms. we got a very small room, so it was not terribly comfortable but was ok for two nights. staff offer good service but nothing extraordinary
Affordable accommodation, interesting shops, and a buzzing nightlife make Pham Ngu Lao the destination of choice for backpackers. Pham Ngu Lao is also renowned for its street food. Gorge on banh mi--Vietnamese baguette sandwiches--or pho, the famous noodle soup. Then nurse a local draft beer, bia hoi, at a road side bar, and people watch.
