The photos do not do justice to just how gorgeous this property and garden is. There are no immediate neighbours and its down a private lane. On the doorstep of such beautiful places to visit. Jonathan was a top host both in greeting us and showing us around, and being so flexible with our requests. He left drinks and food for us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. Sympathetically renovated with lovely quality finishing. The garden pretty, with lots of spring bulbs emerging and colourful chickens in a stable supplying fresh, warm eggs. Jonathan was the perfect host - attentive, thoughtful and generous. I used the pool, as yet unheated, for invigorating cold water dips, thawing out in a lovely, hot roll-top bath after with a view of the trees. Plentiful dog towels, a drawer full of dog treats and special shampoo should the need arise, very reassuring knowing Jonathan understands the needs of a holidaying dog owner so well! The house is a beautiful, characterful property, in an idyllic setting. There is everything you could need for a perfect stay here; from fully equipped kitchens in the main house and Barn to extremely comfortable beds. The owner; Jonathan, could not have been more helpful, communication was excellent and he even left us some food supplies and wine. Petworth is a lovely, interesting town and well worth a walk around, with several cafes and a co-op if needed. We wish we could have stayed longer! ##### Claire B.
