The kitchen, restrooms, and deck have all been updated nicely. Each restroom is attached to a bedroom too. The public beach, though small, was maybe two blocks from the house, and we had it all to ourselves every time we visited. Otherwise, a nice view of the water from the house. Hosts were helpful in letting us borrow things for the kids so I didn’t have to pack as much (always good to ask, right?) and Jeff was a resource in local things. We primarily used the house to rest and recover from day trips to the beach, Petosky, Mackinac Island, etc., and it worked great. ##### Loren A. The house was clean and the owners are next door so it was nice if you needed anything. There is no central a/c but there were 2 window units that kept the house cool. It was within a mile of the town of Boyne City and the lake, Lake Charlevoix. There are paved walking/bike paths everywhere. The first night in town there was a Pirate Festival going on. It was fun to see all the pirates running around town. There was also music in the park next to the lake on several nights while we were there. A short drive to the beach at Mt. McSauba Recreation area in the town of Charlevoix was the best beach in the area. It overlooks lake Michigan. If you like the small town feel, this is the place to stay. ##### Nancy C.
