Built in 1869, our cozy and comfortable space is perfect for families or groups of up to eight guests. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms provide ample space. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, private patio, and cozy living and family rooms. Our home is a five-minute walk from downtown Petersburg's historic architecture, restaurants, and shops. Attractions like Petersburg National Battlefield, Pamplin Historical Park, Upper Shirley Vineyards, and Pocahontas State Park are just a short drive away. We can't wait to host you!! INTERIOR The space consists of a living room, a family room, and a fully-equipped kitchen. There are also four bedrooms and three complete bathrooms included. 4 Bedrooms \-2nd floor, 1 king bed \-2nd floor, 2 twin beds \-3rd floor, 1 king bed \-Basement, 1 queen bed 3 Full Bathrooms \-2nd floor has shower and bathtub (separate from one another) \-3rd floor master bedroom has a private bathroom with shower \-Basement has a shower EXTERIOR An outdoor patio is also present. \*\*\*Please note, although there is a deck beyond it, guests are strictly prohibited from venturing beyond the black wrought iron fence at the end of the patio.\*\*\* Entire space is included in this rental. Please, make yourself at home! I am here for you during your stay, or I can be invisible. It's up to you. If needed, I'm only a phone call/message away. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival. Please let us know if something is missing or needed at check-in. No cameras inside. • No smoking inside the house -$250 fine if detected. • No more than the number of guests booked ON PREMISE at any time: $200 fine per person detected • We are not accepting reservations from local residents at this time, we reserve the right to immediately cancel any reservations from local resident • Please remove shoes • Quiet hours from 10pm to 8am (50 decibels). • Primary renter must have valid govt ID, phone number and address on file. • If there is anyone 21 years or younger in group, the primary renter must be 25+ years old or older. • We are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables during your stay. We cannot be responsible for any items left behind. There will be a minimum $100 handling fee for returning requested items to you. Shipping and packaging will be charged at cost. Items will be kept for 5-days. After which time they will be donated at management discretion. • Unfortunately, we do not allow late checkout to respect our cleaner's schedules. A fine of 50% of the upcoming night's stay will be imposed for a late checkout between 30 minutes and 2 hours past checkout time. Any checkout beyond 2 hours late will be charged at 2x the upcoming night's stay. • Kids of all ages are welcomed, but we do not supply any infant/toddler/child furniture. If you want sleek, modern, and quiet, this is not the place for you. But if you want charming, cozy, and comfortable, this is your spot. We stayed here for two nights with our young adult children and it was perfect. Enough room for everyone to have their own space, but great gathering spots indoors and out. Things you might want to know about this property:1\. It is three floors, plus a basement, so if anyone in your group has trouble navigating stairs, this could pose a problem. There is no bathroom on the ground floor, but there are bathrooms in the basement and on the 2nd and 3rd floor, near the bedrooms. 2\. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need to cook a basic meal, even a sharp knife! I hate to work with a dull knife and usually bring mine, but forgot this trip, so I really appreciated this. There are pots, pans, a cutting board, and some basic spices. And everything is in a place that makes sense. 3\. The mattresses are comfortable and the bedding is clean and soft. We had just spent the previous two nights in a cheap hotel with sub-par beds, so this was a very welcome improvement. And the decor is just lovely. 4\. We LOVED the back patio. We spent both nights gathered around the patio table, under the string lights, talking, laughing, and drinking our favorite beverages. It was just what we wanted. We just loved this property. The host made the environment safe and accommodating from the instructions leading us to enter the property to the property being very well prepared for the icy conditions we faced. We felt like we were in a relative home from the moment we stepped through the door. The house was fully stocked with every essential you could think of and even some you would not have thought of. Every inch of space was immaculately well kept. We felt safe and we felt at home. From the beautiful decor in each and every room to the comfortable linen and cloths on every bed. We are so pleased with our stay, and we thank the host who really put thought and effort into satisfying the customer. We hosted our 4 grandchildren ages 2 thru 12 who have nicknamed this house "the tall house". When we arrived back in South Carolina they were asking to go back to "the tall house".
