Good Location, Plan Your Arrival
Great Location - Just be sure you have a plan in place for your arrival and parking, if you have a car. We received a parking pass from the hotel, but the parking is 5 minutes walk from the Hotel. The Old City has no vehicle access, so it is wise to plan your arrival if you want to stay in the center of things, where this hotel is located. The breakfast was typical. They prepared us fried eggs, which was greatly appreciated

Pleasant stay in central Perugia
We had a great stay at the Umbria. Staff were really helpful, room was clean and pleasant (if a little small) and the rates were good. One note: free parking is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, and it was impossible to drive to the hotel. Driving in Perugia (near the centre) is a nightmare. The hotel might do well to add some instructions to the website (we parked somewhere random, and walked to the hotel to discover all of this).

The room was small, but so was the price! The owner was very nice and allowed me to keep my bags near his apartment because they were too big! The location to Piazza IV Novembre was great, but the road to get there was not great with a big suitcase. Would definitely stay again if I have a smaller bag!

Great value for money and in the center of the old city near to several tourist sites. The staff was friendly and would stay here again if visiting the city.

It was in a perfect position. Shower was too small to function. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was good for 6 Euros. A lot of steps to find the hotel so not for everyone.

Single room was quite small and bathroom had no heating, which could be problem in cold months. The hotel is old but overall I felt ok there, hotel conveniently located in the very center of old Perugia.

Very close to city center but difficult to drive to. The room was small, like most Euro hotels, bed was hard, shower was tiny (even for me, I'm 5'1 & 115 lbs). Room was ok overall but fantastic for the price, 50€.

Amazing breakfast!
We arrived late at the hotel but were checked in quickly and easily. The service was friendly and helpful. As we were only there for one night, we had no opportunity to use the shuttle provided but did enjoy drinks on their balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. Eggs, bacon, fresh orange juice, cereals, etc. My husband was very impressed with the pastries. Good value.

Decent budget hotel
The staff at Hotel Umbria were very nice and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit run down, but clean and reasonably comfortable. The only major downsides were that there was no fan in the room and the surrounding streets were very loud, even after 2am. Perhaps this was due to the Umbria Jazz Festival. Otherwise, generally good budget experience.

Hotel close to Corso Vannuci in Centro Storico
The hotel is acceptable as to condition of room and cleanliness. Access to Corso Vannuci in the historic center of Perugia is about a 100 m walk, so access to the city is excellent. Getting to the hotel with luggage is problematic and we would not recommend taking a large volume of luggage to stay at this hotel. The staff was pleasant but not helpful at all with moving luggage from our car to the hotel. Car access is a real problem and the steep and narrow roads that come up behind the hotel are dangerous to drive on and we were luck to have not damaged our vehicle. Bottom line; if you travel into Perugia by train with light luggage this hotel is acceptable. You will have to carry you luggage from the train station to the hotel and that is about a kilometer.

down the hill
The hotel is tucked away down the hill from the main corso which is good and not so. It means a bit of a climb up over cobbles and down dark stairs at night but also makes for a quieter area. View from my window was great with swooping swallows and a colourful twisiting lane below. Shower brilliant and bedsheets superbly crisp. Plugs were a minor problem but helpful staff solved it. Good breakfast too.

Located in Old Perugia - ideal for seeing sights
The hotel was a bit difficult to find given it's location in old town. We had a GPS and it got us 99% of the way there. We got out and walked the last block or so. Hotel staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. We were able to park a short distance away for free and access was easy to the car. The room was comfortable and large enough for 3 adutls. We had a patio off our room and that was lovely. We found it easy to get in and out of the area with a car (with GPS) so it was great for visiting the nearby cities.

5th stay. Hotel very simple with no frills. very central and within easy distance of historic centre. Staff very friendly. Approach very atmospheric but narrow steep streets of approach must not put anyone off. Inside full of character.

5日間滞在しました。 旧市街のため建物は古めでしたが、部屋は綺麗でスタッフは優しくとてもお世話になりました。 幾つか不便だった点は 建物内は階段しかなく玄関が坂に面していたので荷物を運ぶのが大変だったこと シャワーが固定式な上温度の調整がままならなかったこと 壁が薄く隣客の声は基本丸聞こえな事です。 ただこれらはペルージャの旧市街だとどこもこんな感じなので、そういうものだと思って行くしかないと思います。 寧ろこの値段でこの設備ならかなり満足できると思います。

Vaikea löytää perille, jätettiin auto kauemmas melko kalliille parkkialueelle ja käveltiin loppumatka. Sijaitsee korkealla hyvin kapeiden katujen välissä. Siisti paikka, ystävällinen henkilökunta. Sänky oli aika kova ja pistorasioita vain yksi, mutta muuten ei valittamista. Nukuttiin yksi yö ja jatkettiin matkaa. Hyvin hiljainen paikka!

Il benvenuto ha compreso, oltre alla richiesta del documento, un’offerta di 10 euro a notte per un upgrade di camera in quanto quella prenotata era troppo piccola. Niente ascensore (palazzo ‘antico’) e servizi improponibili.

Caro Sig.Fabio, Cosa è quello che non ha gradito? Il fatto che le abbiamo chiesto un documento di riconscimento per fare check-in? Le sembra cosi strano? Forse è la prima volta che alloggia in un albergo? un upgrade da una singola ad una matrimoniale a soli 10 Euro le sembra eccessivo? Anzi, Avrebbe dovuto ringraziarci per l'offerta che le abbiamo riservato visto che è alto di 2 metri e la camera singola poteva risultare piccola per lei. Il suo commento si contraddice da solo in quanto menziona prima "palazzo vecchio" (giusto che sia visto la nostra posizione in pieno centro storico dove i palazzi nuovi non si vedono) e dopo parla della mancanza di un ascensore, Maaaah !!! Fortuna che ce ne sono tante altre belle recensioni che parlano da soli. In ogni caso la ringraziamo lo stesso per aver soggiornato da noi. Cordiali Saluti
