Unfortunately our first room we couldn’t open the door so we were moved to another, the 2nd room the shower did not work we were moved again to the best room in the house..the toilet cistern didn’t work. On the first 2 occcasions the staff were aware of the issues. We had breakfast and salt and pepper shakers were empty, we knew the place was old and weren’t expecting a 5 star hotel however the basics are not negotiable. All the staff were lovely and took care of these items quickly.

My main issue with the room I had 210 was that late on at night the bar was emptied which created a lot of noise at around 01:00am it was then emptied again/filled i dont know which at around 06:00am. I was not happy with that obvioulsy, also the shower did not work properly, I was in a rush in the morning as had a 3 hour drive ahead of me, followed by 7 hour drive after that. When I got there it was late at night and all I wanted to do was have a quick drink then go to bed! The staff were really friendly though, the breakfast was very nice and tasted fresh, the hotel in general seemed well looked after and was clean. I would stay there again but not in room 210.

Disappointing
The room was way to stuffy, we opened the window but the traffic on the main road was incredibly loud (lots of farm vehicles seem to frequent this route) The most irritating issue was the water pressure which was ridiculous. A little more than sprinkle came out of the shower, impossible to wash hair or really feel clean which was not cool after a long day of travelling. The handle on the toilet took three flushes to get any water to come through....

Good location with Walking distance to the centre of Perth. Good sized clean room, pretty old standards though. Not as good ventilation and noice isolated as wished for.

Nice hotel but room we got 221 was not one of the.
I know hotel is being renovated but by bit and we were just unfortunate to have been put in an old room.

Limited car parking
Staying at hotel for our visit to Perth races.On arrival car park and adjacent road - cars parked everywhere . The hotel hosting a conference also works vans as hotel undergoing remodelling . Guided out a guest who was attempting to leave then were able to park. Hotel staff lovely very helpful. Bar food in the evening tasty,good quality and plentiful , breakfast very good - special mention for Lizzie who welcomed us so nicely and firstly and made sure we had all we needed. Our room comfortable spotless. Our ensuite long thin bathroom in need of modernization but that part of ongoing remodel- some areas of hotel looking tired and needing that update.

Friendly service and good food
We were staying one night on the way to Edinburgh from Inverness. The hotel is ideally located less than 10 minutes' drive from the A9. We received a friendly welcome and were given a large and convenient room. It is an old building but was clean and nicely decorated, with all the usual facilities. We ate in the Lovat Bar as the restaurant was closed. The food was excellent (first class haddock and chips) and a good price. Breakfast was likewise good, with efficient and friendly service. I would happily recommend this hotel.

Great service but bring earplugs!
Service was excellent, deluxe room was nice, bathroom good, however there was a door outside our room (Rm 200) which banged loudly and woke me up every time someone used it starting from about 6am.

Located pretty far away but the beds were comfy and the staff nice. The restaurant isn't open all day.

Value for money short stay hotel.
Lovat hotel was clean and comfortable. We booked a small cosy room and it was just that - in fact a bit overheated I would say. Room was nice and quiet and near town centre and short walk from Dewar's Centre, which was good for us where we were watching bowls tournament. Breakfasts were extremely good with lots of choice of fruit/ cereals/pastries etc. from buffet, followed by toast, tea and cooked breakfast again with many choices, and served on hot plates!! Dinners were good (new chef apparently) and reasonably priced. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Selection of popular magazines in lobby for reading in room. Free parking. Altogether a pleasant stay at a reasonable price. Signs of refurbishment (i.e. decoration) taking place currently. Good Christmas packages on offer.

Visited Perth to attend funeral - checked in 29th August - 2 nights - £162 incl. breakfast (2). Lovat House Hotel was 'local' to the person who had died - indeed the Lovat was patronage by them many times over the years. We have stayed at the Lovat in the past. This time we were very disappointed! Bedroom - dated. Door did not secure lock from inside ( had to use chain). Door handle on wardrobe came off in my hand - had to screw back on. Carpet was ancient. Bed was uncomfortable - bed base covering frayed - bed felt damp. Ensuite bathroom floor had holes below floor covering - bath was scratched and slippery - shower holder went every way but the way it should. Breakfast was not great - not worth the £10 charge if not inclusive - bit greasy. This hotel is badly in need of updating - yet not reflected in the prices being charged. Others attending the funeral stayed at Premier Inn, New County Hotel, Travelodge, etc - no complaints and cheaper!!! Advised receptionist on leaving that we thought this was the worst room we had ever been in - (and we have stayed in many). He said refurbishment was planned. Staff pleasant. Spent little time in the hotel, and did not complain immediately, as our stay was was limited and we were stressed with the circumstances of funeral, etc.. Best Western feedback status 4 star?? - Expedia 3.6?? - Official 3 star?? - in our experience should be no more than 2 star at best. Will NEVER go back.

Very dated but clean room. Ordered desert at the restaurant- small piece of luke-warm, not very tasty chocolate cake at the price of £5.50 was the worst experience during our stay. The breakfast in the morning has made it up- very tasty, good variety and good service.

NIce hotel for Perthshire Exploring
We enjoyed the ease with which we got to, and stayed at Best Western Loavat Hotel. Parking was a breeze, and the hotel was near all the nearby sights we wanted to visit.

Very uncomfortable bed, mattress was old , thin and lumpy, Springs noisy and bed base creaked. No excuse for such a poor quality bed. Woke with backache and feeling tired. Breakfast crockery had not been washed properly and had old food was sticking to it.

Chosen to break journey on way home from Hebrides.
This was modestly priced. The facilities were fine, except that the shower was hard to control and it fit the bill for a journey break. The staff were pleasant and friendly but the place feels a bit old fashioned and tired.

The hotel was unclean as there was someone's undergarments left within our room, for which questions the room's cleanliness. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was also close to City Center.

La chambre est vieillotte matelas usé,des prises électriques ne fonctionnent pas.la salle de bain est vraiment pas top la robinetterie est très compliquée à régler la ventilation fait un bruit de réacteurs et il faut 10 minutes pour remplir la chasse d'eau
