Coffee still in the coffee pot, dishes looked dirty, and cabinets/counter tops/sink were just filthy. We were afraid to eat/cook with dishes until we washed them ourselves. Just a bummer. Other than that, everything was perfect—clean bathrooms and sheets. There were even plenty of dishwasher pods and laundry pods to use. Bedroom layout is great with a bathroom for each room is awesome. The reserved covered parking spot is on the second level. Nothing to do with the condo but wish the building would mark off an area for overnight beach item storage vs having to carry everything back to the parking spot or condo. We have stayed in several other Demere properties in the past my only complaint about this condo was the furniture was very used quite wore out. There were several amenities unusable in the house, small things that are inexpensive to fix. we had a wonderful stay in this unit. It just desperately needs to be updated and cleaned a little better than it was. She gave me another code and worked perfectly. This has a beautiful gulf view and is very beautifully decorated. My only 2 suggestions are fix the ice dispenser on the refrigerator and maybe replace the carpet. Location doesn't have much in walking distance but is only approximately 10 minutes to Orange Beach and 15-20 minutes to Gulf Shores. This property was beautiful, had such an incredible view from the balcony and main bedroom/living room. I would absolutely stay here again. The only areas I would recommend being mindful of is that this property does not have any beach towels so you must bring your own from home, or buy some while you are there, getting an Uber/Lyft is VERY challenging in this area so renting a car would be helpful (there is a designated parking spot. There are also not any extra blankets/pillows for the pullout couch (there were two flat sheets so we were able to use one to cover the bed, and one as a blanket). Otherwise, very nice property with a beautiful view and fairly close to quite a lot of restaurants and bars (30ish minutes in either direction). ##### Morgan K. May 28, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy #### No pool On saturday morning we were told the pool would be closed due to someone breaking a glass in the pool, but that the pool should be open later in the day. We watched and checked, but the pool remained close all day Saturday. When we woke up on Sunday we went back doown to ths pool and it was stilled closed. I called VACASA and they stated that the pool would reopen later on Sunday....another lie. As we were leaving on Monday we saw that the pool was FINALLY getting cleaned. I find it incredibly poor customer service to lie to the people staying at the condo and then act affronted when I ask for some form of refund. The condo itself was very nice and well kept, unfortunately VACASA's poor customer service has left us very unhappy. ##### Roy S. Stayed 3 nights in May 2023 ### 6/10 Okay #### Daniel E. Jun 17, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location Disliked: Communication #### Vacasa customer service was a joke!!! This was our second time staying in this condo. We’ve stayed at the Windmere multiple times a year for 4 years now and love the property! The shower head in the master bath was cracked the day we arrived and the shower wand would fall at random times hitting me in the head. I got to the point that it would not stay in the holder so it would just hang there. Contacted the Vacasa customer service number via text asking for a new shower head on Wednesday morning. They wanted pictures of the shower head which I sent. Had to ask 2 more times for updates throughout the day. At 4:15 they asked if I wanted assistance from their maintenance team. Uh, yeah! 4:50 someone messaged me saying they would replace the shower head Thursday. Message I got Thursday at noon. “ High Daniel, Mina with Vacasa again. Unfortunately I’m unable to grab you a new shower head today I have been crazy busy!!! I am so sorry about this but it may have to be tomorrow instead of today. I sincerely apologize!!” Now it’s 1:00 p.m. Friday and ask again for an update. Response I got. “Apologies for the late reply. I have been having credit card issues which is why I haven’t been able to get a shower head. ( I thought it was because you said you were crazy busy ) I have been in contact with my manager about this. The shower head may have to be replaced prior to the next guest that comes. I apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you updated if I can get one before then. Thanks.” Very disappointing!!!!!!!!!!!!! ##### Daniel E. Unit has very formal furniture and dining rooms chairs are VERY heavy and hard to move on the carpeted floor. 2 of the bathrooms are extremely small. Now for VACASA that manages the property.. Overhead lights in 3rd bedroom did not work, Vacasa sent 2 different maintenance men but neither could fix it. The last one went to get a part and never returned or called. Ice dispenser did not work, none of hair dryers worked, commode in master bedroom badly needed cleaning up under the rim, wood furniture needed dusting. there's probably more. We will never again stay at property if Vacasa is the manager. ##### Donna W. The owners even had books that included info like Things tonDo, Restaurants, how to use various electronics in condo etc. We loved our stay!
