It is not only well furnished for comfort but also offers you gorgeous views of the Gulf and Gulf beaches, Bay. the Lazy River, fishing marina and much more. This lovely 1 bedroom with bunk room and 2 baths condo is on the Bay-side and is located on Oakaloosa Island, between Ft. Walton and Destin at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. It comes with FREE wi-fi, covered parking and a separate washer and dryer. Right below your living room private patio is the Lazy River, Water-Fall (seasonally heated) and zero entry pools. Also below this patio are 2 Hot Tubs and several BBQ pits for your usage. Recently built, there is a brand new Marina that goes out 400 ft or so into the beautiful Bay. Fish (no fishing license needed !) or just walk around, the marina offers lots of unique entertainment for the whole family. Of course you can swim in or wade around in the Bay waters that are right next to the property. Sandpiper 601 is a 5 minute walk across the elevated walk-way to the beach side of Destin West, gulf-front restaurants, the Convention Center, Gulfarium, and Fishing Pier. Perfect for Fun & Sun! Here are some of the added values of this high-floor corner condo....this 6th floor, corner condo location really does make a difference. The added Master Bedroom balcony adds soo much to your enjoyment of the Gulf and the Destin West experience. There you will relax on your Master Bedroom balcony, perhaps drink your morning cup of coffee, and looking out at breathtaking view of the emerald waters, sugar white sands of the Gulf and the pristine State Park right across the street from you. Further East you will see the city of Destin and its fire-works show in the summer. The numerous windows are only available on a corner condo. It adds a lot of light and gives a real open feeling to you and your guest. The corner location is special! The living room balcony overlooks scenic Choctawhatchee Bay, the lush landscaping of our 700 ft Lazy River Pool, seasonally heated pool with waterfall, zero entry pool and hot tubs.. Our condo, with the free WiFi, is part of Destin West Beach and Bay Resort which provides our bay-side guests access to the Gulfside fitness center and a large pool with separate hot tub A full sized washer and dryer is part of the condo to use whenever you need to do a wash. The furniture in Sandpiper 601 is very comfortable. Just wake up in the morning and open the curtains to your private balcony and view the sands and water of the Gulf of Mexico across the street from the building. Sip you coffee or just relax on this balcony as the day goes by. Or you might want to watch the large flat-screen TV/DVD player that is inside the modern bedroom cabinet. A private bathroom is right next to the full-size bedroom closet. In the living room you will find the new queen sleeper sofa for the sitting and sleeping comfort of you guest. It faces the large flat screen TV/DVD player. There is also a dining room table that services 6 individuals with the living room bar chairs. A new and comfortable adjustable lounge chair with make the day soo relaxing as you look out the roof-to-floor sliding glass doors to the private patio. Great views from the living room balcony of the Pools, lounge area and the Bay and Marina are all your in Sandpiper 601. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking items and you will ever need. Both a regular and Keurig coffee maker is provided. A side-by-side refrigerator with outside ice and water dispenser is included…along with a quite dishwasher. Near-by the kitchen is a separate full size washer and dryer. Free gym with full amenities is included. The bunk room off the hall way offers a lot of privacy with its "ceiling to floor" black-out retractable curtain. It has its own bath and toilet so the kids don't need to bother you in the early morning. There you kids will love the comfortable bunk beds while they watch their favorite DVD's on the flat screen TV. Destin West beach and Bay (Caribbean style resort) is one of the newest and most unique on Okaloosa Island. In the middle of a lush, tropical landscape (bay side) is a lazy river ( the longest in the area) with a zero entry pool and 2 hot tubs. It was a perfect location within the condo (corner unit) with two balconies - one facing the pool / lazy river, with the other off the master bedroom, facing 98 and the Gulf of Mexico. The unit came with plenty of appliances (kitchen and bathroom both) and was very clean. Beds were comfy and showers had plenty of water pressure. Communication with the hosts was fast and easy. Didn’t want to refund after we left 2 nights into a 14 day stay. Suggested we use the oven for heat. Gave us a 50% refund only after I threatened a credit card charge back. Didn’t want to communicate through the vrbo platform. Didn’t want me to contact VRBO. Wanted to mail me a check! The property is honestly fine, but I can’t give it any stars because of the owner’s treatment of us. I’ve never had a bad experience through Vrbo until this! Buyer beware! ##### Jennifer K. We used the marina, fitness center, pool, lazy river and beach. It rained one day and we still had a great time bc the location/distance for things to do was very reasonable. Having two balconies (one on the bay, the other on the gulf side) allowed us to appreciate both views. Having two bathrooms was another plus. The unit was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The pool area is definitely the highlight. We enjoy the beach but would rather swim in pools so it was just what we needed.
