The condo is in the East Beach Colony Resort tower, located directly gulf front on the sands of Navarre Beach. The Gulf Islands National Seashore (our beaches) was voted the Best Florida Attraction by USA TODAY readers. Our tower sits right on the beach so you can take in views down the beach, while the West Beach Colony tower sits back behind the pool and looks at the backs of the other buildings like ours. Step out onto the over-sized balcony or simply look out the window in any of the rooms to enjoy breathtaking views of the Gulf coast. One minute on the balcony during sunset and you will realize why you needed to come here. Many of the Beach Colony views in both towers are now obstructed by other buildings or sitting back behind the pool and getting views of the backs of the other buildings. This view is absolutely magnificent! This upscale condo is a lovely decorated unit that sleeps 6 to 8 with luxury in mind. The living room is suited with wrap around windows and wall to wall sliding doors that provide a panoramic view of the gulf with both views to the east and the pier as well as the west and down the beach. The dining room is spacious and can comfortably seats six. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa. The gourmet kitchen is outfitted with granite counter tops, top of the line appliances, a stocked spice rack, and all the pots, pans, tableware, etc., that you need to cook and entertain in style. There is a private and elegant master bedroom suite where a wall of sliding glass doors open to the beautiful views of the balcony. The bedroom includes a desk with a supplied monitor along with a large walk-in closet and 39 inch TV. The master bath/spa is the peak of luxury. The whirlpool bath and the beautiful walk-in-shower are surrounded by windows that once again provide an avenue to look out onto the awe-inspiring scenery. There is a spacious second bedroom with a queen bed, 40 inch LED TV, Blue Ray Player and full private bathroom and a 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds, a 39 inch LED TV and another full private bathroom. This 15th floor unit also has a separate laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer. This condo is equipped with free high-speed wireless internet and a 60 inch LED TV and Blue Ray player in in the living room. TVs, and Blue Rays/DVDs throughout the condo provide much opportunity to be entertained and the over-sized balcony is simply put the best spot on Navarre Beach to sit back and relax. We also have games and puzzles stored in the footstool/storage bin as well as many books, DVDs and CDs in the unit for guest unit. We provide the key to our storage unit right outside our door where we have beach chairs, umbrellas, and outdoor games for free guest use at the beach. The Beach Colony pool is the largest pool on Navarre beach. Clay tennis courts and shuffle board courts are available for free guest use. The beaches are part of over 20 miles of federally protected uncrowded and unspoiled sugar white beaches. At Beach Colony Resort you are only steps away from indulging in restaurants where dining is truly a unique beach experience, and a short drive from golfing, shopping, movies, fishing, diving, great entertainment, and everything else being at the beach has to offer. Exercise in the free fully equipped, air conditioned Beach Colony workout room or enjoy a bike ride along the miles of beach front trails that Navarre Beach has to offer. Fish from the longest pier on the Gulf of Mexico, available just outside the condo. Absolutely no smoking in the unit or on the balcony and no pets. The chaise lounge by the window got lots of morning coffee reading time, the jacuzzi tub was delightful, and we shared many great meals around the table. Five of us fit very confortably and we easily could've had a sixth or seventh. The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and equipment, and the beach is just steps away. I rely heavily on other’s experiences before I book anywhere. This condo had great reviews, so we were truly disappointed. There was construction everywhere! Our beautiful ocean view balcony was completely covered in plastic. You could only see ocean if you were standing. My husband did not take much vacation time because he works from home. He was looking forward to sitting on the porch and working during the day but with the painting and noise, it was not possible. I also had a disturbing experience. I had just laid down in a bath when I noticed workers coming up the scaffolding outside the window. The blinds had been turned down to close but I didn’t realize that you could see down through them on the outside that way. (Who is going to think someone would look in your blinds when you are 15 stories up anyway?) As I began to wash my hair, I looked up and noticed two workers watching me. Horrified, I yelled for my husband and he immediately closed the blinds correctly. I was so thankful my 17 yr old daughter had not been taking a bath. A few moments later, the maintenance man came to fix a broken pipe in the master bedroom closet. If we had known so much construction was going on, we would have stayed somewhere else. We ran into some owners and asked them about it. They said they had known for a couple months now that this was coming. When we mentioned this to our owner, she reassured us that she knew nothing about it , yet she sent me an email with a copy of the notice she was given by the HOA on March 11th regarding the repairs -which stated that they would begin in Mar/April and last 6-7 months. The owner tried to imply that we booked before she knew about them. So, she didn’t have a responsibility to let us know??? We understood that we booked at the end of February but she she should have contacted us and all other FUTURE renters to inform them of the on going construction. This vacation was supposed to be our 26th anniversary celebration since we didn’t get to celebrate our 25th because of Covid. The owner tried to give us $ back so we could go to dinner. Really?? We never asked for any money back.. I am sure most would people would have or atleast a heavy discount. We made the best of it. We loved Beach colony but we will never work with this owner again. Would definitely stay here again. The complex does not offer many amenities (other than pool) but the unit provided what we needed as well as lots of beach extras in the closet. We sat there every night. It is fully stocked with everything you need for a week at the beach (chairs, boogie boards, etc) , spices in the kitchen and games for rainy days. Upon our arrival, our first impression was that the entire unit was super clean! Everything was so neat and tidy. The kitchen is always the most important room in a home to me, and this kitchen did not disappoint. It was updated, clean, and had what we needed to cook the meals we wanted to make there. LOVE the ocean views from the living room, master bedroom and master bath. Amazing! We also loved the balcony with the furniture. We had breakfast out on the balcony every morning watching the ocean and listening to the waves. How more relaxing can you get than that? We were very appreciative of the use of the owner's beach closet that included beach chairs and umbrellas. The beach is very beautiful with soft, white sand. Some of the nicest sand we've ever been on. There are grills down by the pool for the guests use. We purchased charcoal to grill fresh seafood from Navarre Seafood Market, but, unfortunately, it came a downpour so we prepared our food inside. The lights were a little difficult to figure out. We never did figure out how to turn the living room light/ceiling fan on, but it was no big deal. The sofa has a musty smell, but maybe that's from the ocean/salty air? There is quite a collection of dvd's if you choose to watch a movie. We watched a couple and were appreciate of the owners having them there. The until also comes with a washer/dryer which we appreciated. We were able to pack lighter and do laundry while there. We were also happy about not having to bring dirty laundry home. Navarre is a quiet little town. If you're looking for the wild nightlife, it's not here. Destin and Pensacola are both a short drive away should one choose to go there.
