### Stonefold Cottage Newbiggin - a cottage that sleeps 3 guests in 2 bedrooms

This charming cottage retains many traditional features, such as exposed beams and brickwork, while providing a contemporary and cosy atmosphere that feels like a true home away from home. The living area is located on the first floor to maximise the breathtaking countryside views, making it a must to spend time indoors simply soaking in the scenery.  
  
The cottage boasts a garden, shared with the friendly owner who resides next door, where you can unwind with a glass of wine as you watch the sun set over the fells, admiring the expansive countryside that stretches out for miles. The nearby village of Stainton, located less than a mile away, features a local shop and a pub offering delicious meals made from locally sourced ingredients.  
  
Stonefold Cottage features two ground-floor bedrooms: a double and a single, both furnished with charming pine furniture and vibrant bedding. The modern family bathroom includes a shower over the bath, sink, and WC, perfect for a quick refresh or a long, relaxing soak.  
  
The open-plan first floor showcases a vaulted ceiling adorned with beams. Cosy leather sofas are strategically placed around a Freeview TV, ensuring you won't miss your favourite shows. The kitchen area is equipped to help you prepare meals with an electric cooker, fridge, and microwave. Enjoy lingering over your morning cup of tea at the dining table while planning your day's adventures.  
  
The cottage has oil central heating, bed linen and towels included. There is private parking available for one car, along with shared access to the garden, which includes seating and stunning views across the fells and Eden Valley. Sorry this cottage is not suitable for children under 5.  
  
Newbiggin is a charming, small village conveniently located just off the A66, the main route from Penrith to Keswick. The vibrant town of Penrith, often referred to as the Gateway to the Lakes, is only a quick 5-minute drive away. Here, you'll find a variety of boutique shops, supermarkets, a leisure centre, bars, restaurants, and takeaways to suit all your needs.  
  
Just 20 minutes from Newbiggin lies the bustling Lake District town of Keswick, where you can spend a delightful day at Derwentwater. Adventure awaits as you explore popular fells like Catbells, Helvellyn, and Skiddaw. Don't miss the local attractions, including the Pencil Museum, climbing walls, and the intriguing Puzzling Place.  
  
From Newbiggin, you can enjoy walks that start right at your door, traversing the Caldbeck and Ullswater Fells. Alternatively, a short 10-minute drive will take you to the shores of Lake Ullswater and Pooley Bridge, where you can tackle the scenic 20-mile Ullswater Way.
