"The location is great - walking distance to surf and restaurants, the space in the room we stayed in was good and had a private balcony and the common areas were generally clean. A couple of strange things - for somewhere that is a "shared house"/hostel type the people who work/"hosts" were very unfriendly, there were 2 females who wouldn't even acknowledge us during our stay (walking into the kitchen and wouldn't even make eye contact or make conversation - mind you I commented on their food...

"The property is very nice and quiet and the hostess is very friendly, but it is an RNB and not an hotel, hence there are neither services such as cleaning the room during our entire stay, breakfast, front desk, nor a closet to unpack the suitcase. "This cozy guesthouse inside the old walls of medieval Obidos was a nice place to stay. It’s not fancy and has no on-site staff but it’s very clean, well maintained and in a great location. We had some trouble finding it but that was completely my fault & when we called, the staff member could not have been nicer and met us in person to get us straightened out! Our room was quiet, but like many old buildings in Europe, there was no elevator or a/c. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay."

"Cute spot with friendly staff. Rooms are small yet well designed. Like that there’s a restaurant on property and easy parking on the street. One thing that was challenging is that there seems to not be any noise insulation, you can hear noise in the hallway and there was a door that sounded like it was being slammed in the afternoon and morning. Thankfully things quieted down at night, so it didn’t affect our sleep, but something to note if you are sensitive to this."
