Best location in town! Great views and spacious inside. Easy parking and check-in. Only thing could be improved if newer towels were provided. Overal we are so happy to stay in Madsen.

The stairs where was behind in with large bag . Other than that very good.

Location couldn’t have been more central. In checking in, Phil was super friendly & knowledgeable. Hotel and rooms were all very clean and comfortable. The door locks were very modern and felt safe & secure. There was even fruit, small selection of drinks and coffee included. We will definitely stay again if returning to Penguin in the future.

The stairs were a little daunting with suitcases. The room was lovely but in need of a makeover. Downstairs entry and foyer area were very nice, we enjoyed the complimentary port and sherry.

The Madsen was situated in a beautiful location. The staff were thoughtful, brilliant and accommodating. The only issue I see is the accommodation needed a lift, however due to heritage restrictions apparently this is not available. This makes people with disabilities a problem. Would definitely stay here again, just need to ensure I booked lower level.

Location great for walking to restaurants. Unfortunately very noisy (delivery trucks at 6am) and no privacy as room window faced driveway at ground level so needed to have curtains closed at all times. Would choose differently next time.
