Perfect stay
We were very satisfied with everything one of the best hotels we stayed in Bali. The room, restaurant, staff and pool was exceptional and ever so helpful, polite and service with a smile. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom semi outside was wonderful. We truly recommend this hotel and would certainly return. Thank you to all the staff the made our stay unforgettable.

Lovely
It was lovely. We would just like to see more eco-friendly practise like no plastic ear-buds or sachets of soap. My daughter also spotted plastic rubbish beneath the house. Otherwise, fantastic staff and lovely service:) very kind people.

A beautiful, tranquil place
A lovely base for exploring Bali Barat and Menjangan Island. A little faded and could do with a bit of an update, but stunning location, beautiful views, delicious food too. We kayaked, swam in the pool and took a snorkelling trip to the uninhabited island, beautiful fish!

Good Value in West Bali
I stayed in a standard room, which for the price was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the setting - looking out over a bay towards Bali Barat National Park - interesting and peaceful. Restaurant is good and prices are reasonable, there is an adequate swimming pool and plenty of space around it for sunbathing and lounging. The last 1.5 km of road to the resort is stony and bumpy (but fine for a nomal car). The bathroom is the open-air variety - this was fine during my stay in the dry season, with very few mosquitoes around, but may not be so much fun in the rainy season (the room does have an excellent mosquito net and a can of spray). Don't believe the travel times quoted - the traffic is generally awful and appalling in Denpasar. Unless you're travelling in the middle of the night, expect a journey of 4 to 5 hours from Denpasar airport.

Awesome hotel, best we stayed at in Bali
This was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Bali. We stayed in a Bayview bungalow and it was stunning! Room was beautiful and opens to an outdoor bathroom and yard. Such a peaceful place to stay. The grounds were lovely and the pool was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was good. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Only wish we had planned to stay longer than one night.

Lovely oasis
We came for the diving around Menjangan, and found the Naya Gawana to be an exceptional spot from which to enjoy that activity (kudos to Robert and his crew at the on-premises Extra Divers), as well as to simply enjoy lazing about amid the beautiful grounds of the resort.

Less than what you would pay for
Confusing currency and price info, Indonesian rupiah on menu, US dollar for Xmas eve dinner given by oral, Euro for snorkeling on website, make sure how much you pay in writing before you take any service. Staff tends to smile, but seems not train professionally for hotel service, but train well to drive you to spend at tourism shops. No restaurant is around, the food in the hotel is expensive even comparing to similar ones in Australia. At least the villa is not too bad. The nearby islands is said to be the best place in Bali to dive. Frankly to say, Cairns is a nicer place to snorkel or dive, cleaner water and more in the water to see.

Gorgeous but Very Isolated
The resort grounds, pool, and suites are just gorgeous. The staff is gracious and welcoming. The room rates are reasonable for the quality of the bungalows. The spa services were also fairly priced. However, the rates for everything else at the resort are beyond astronomical. This would be ok if guests had other options but, due to the isolation of the hotel, guests are wholly reliant on the hotel for everything: from transport to the hotel from the airport (over one hundred USD), to the 20 minute drive to the local village (over twenty USD). The activities available were very unreasonably priced. We took a one-hour boat ride around the mangrove forest and were charged almost one hundred USD. I am sure that we could have negotiated for the same ride directly for very cheap but there is no access to anything from the hotel. You cannot even call a cab. Even to eat outside the hotel, you must add on $25 for the hotel car to take you. The hotel should provide guests with access to other options or lower its prices. These sort of prices make guests feel gauged and also trapped. The one thing that must change is the hotel's refusal to include espresso drinks in the breakfast. I have never been to a hotel, even a 3*, where I was charged for a cappuccino or espresso at breakfast. At this sort of resort, which is highly priced, this policy is beyond ridiculous. The charges were also extortionate for the coffee.

Did love this hotel inspite of .........
We did enjoy our stay at this hotel. The rooms are beautiful. We were the only guests for the night we stayed and were definitely treated royally. The restaurant was very good. There was a little trouble with ants in our bathroom but to be fair, we changed our minds about what accommodation we wanted so there wasn't the time to completely prep room the way they may have liked. Its a beautiful property in a less-travelled area. We used the Dive Shop to go on a snorkelling trip to Menjengang Island. FABULOUS!! Our guide Gatot was FANTASTIC!! The best snorkelling I've experienced and I thought Hawaii and Mexico were great, but this topped it. LOVED IT!

Nice surprise
It took 3.5 hours fro the airport to the resort, but the drive tooks to a nice sceenery view small road thru the mountain side. It was quite exhuasting but when we finally arrived the hotel, we were welcome by the spectular Big pool view overlooking the bay and surrouned by hills view. It was just a magnificent surprise that just erase our exhausting , we suddenly did not feel tired anymore and want just straigh to the pool. The resort has a unique type of villa called ""lumbung"" is a TWO stories woodend house where bed room is in mezanine upper floor and living room and bath room are in the lower level. This is quite a unique experience for us. The staff service is friendly and smiley.. we feel welcome by them.. oh.. one last thing, the SPA was just perfect , it was different then other spa that I tried .. I am definitely will be back for more..

Sehr aufmerksames und liebenswertes Personal. Traumhafter Blick auf die Bucht mit Mangroven und den Nationalpark vom Pool aus. Trotz Regenzeit derzeit kaum Niederschlag, Temperaturen im November deutlich höher als auf der Südseite der Insel. Absolut faire Preise in Minibar und Restaurant.

Wunderbare Ruhe mitten in der Natur!! Super geeignet für Taucher. Jeder Gast erhält eine Wasserflasche, welche kostenlos 24h an der Rezeption wieder aufgefüllt werden kann. Superleckeres Restaurant mit lokalen und internationalen Gerichten. Frühstücksbuffet klein aber lecker! Nichts für Nachteulen, 10 Uhr abends ist Zapfenstreich.

Hitell nära havet
Hotellet ligger med allra bästa snorkling- och dykningsmöjligheter. Korallreven vid ön Menjangang med fantastiska fiskar i alla färger och mönster. Vi hade turen att se även två sköldpaddor under vår vistelse. Hotellet är helt ok. Vi valde det billigaste rummet, och det var riktigt bra för priset. Det var rent och inga bekvämligheter saknades. Poolen var ren och vackert belägen med utsikt över havsviken. Restaurangen på området hade bra meny, maten var helt ok. Vällagad av bra råvaror. Personalen på området och även på dykcentret var vänliga, trevliga och kunniga.

ベイビュースイートに予約をしました。何故なら温泉シャワー、温泉浴槽有りと表記されたいたから。実際は浴槽無し。騙された感は大。シャワーの温度も低く乾季ではかなり寒いと思う。 レセプション、レストランの対応もイマイチ。ベイビューもかなり先でした。 ガーデンビューに名前を変えるべき!!

自然の中の綺麗なホテル
部屋で虫に刺された。シヤワールームとトイレが部屋の外にあるため虫が入り込んで刺されてしまった。 もう少し虫が入らない対策を講じてくれると助かります。

Utmärkt hotell i vacker natur
Fantastiskt hotell! Vi blev mycket väl omhändertagna, utomordentlig service och mat. Mycket vänlig personal. Vi hade ett standardrum och det var mycket fint och bekvämt. Enda nackdelen var huvudkuddarna. Överlag utmärkt, det var synd att vi inte stannade där längre! Hotellet ligger fint till vid vattnet och mangroveskogen.

We booked a room with bay view, but there is quite some distance to the bay and there are a lot of threes between the rooms and the bay. We got also surprised that it wasn't possible to swim in the bay! The hotel is very remotely located, but the snorkling at the nearby Menjagan Island is fantastic and that was why we booked this hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and the food is good. The pool area needs a lot of maintenance and some furnitures were broken. The hotel have 4 stars, but we question this rating!

Expensive hotel far from the city
We had booked a standard room, which was very small and compared to the price level in Bali it was quite expensive. The standard room was very poorly cleaned. After we complained about the room and wanted to check out we were upgraded to a bay view suite which was very, very nice - it is also the room that most of their pictures on hotels.com is taken from. The pool area was also very nice. The hotel is placed 20-30 min. drive outside of the nearest city Pemuteran, and it was quite expensive to go there (300K-600k rupiah depending on how long you wanted to stay there). The hotel was situated close to where all boats sailed out for snorkeling and diving around the island Menjangan, but do not book at the Naya Gawana - their price was almost double of the cost if you booked in Pemuteran - both places PADI certified. The included breakfast buffet was the best we experienced in Bali.

Bayview Suite ist keine Suite
Wir haben für vier Personen zwei Bayview Suiten gebucht. Bei diesen "Suiten" hat es sich um ganz normale Standard-Zimmer mit Bad gehandelt. Der Balkon musste mit dem Zimmernachbarn geteilt werden. Der Zimmernachbar muss um sein Zimmer zu erreichen vor unserer Bayview-Suite über den gemeinsamen Balkon gehen und hat damit vollen Einblick in unsere Zimmer, welches zum Balkon eine grosse Glasschiebetüre aufweist. Die Privatsphäre kann nur durch das Ziehen der Vorhånge erreicht werden, wobei es im Zimmer ausser im Bad keine Fenster mehr hat. Unsere Zimmer haben sich ferner offenbar in der Nåhe der Hotelklåranlage befunden. Zumindest haben wir aufgrund des Geruchs bei unseren Zimmern darauf schliessen mūssen.

Parfait pour se reposer
Loin de l'agitation du sud de Bali, l'hôtel offre un cadre calme et reposant. Le personnel est très efficace et les chambres confortables. La restauration est de qualité avec des prix raisonnables pour un hôtel de cette catégorie.

Hotel Novus Gawana spa and resort ,Banyuwedang ,
Très beau lodge dans un jardin magnifique.L'endroit est absolument splendide et la vue sur la mangrove s'ajoute au calme et à la sérénité ressenties.Magnifique piscine à débordement et très bon restaurant. Le service est parfait. Nous avons pu faire également 2 heures de plongée près d'une ile située au large et voir de merveilleux poissons.
