Upon arrival to Palmview with some of our family and grandkids, the first thing we discovered was that this place is a duplex and not an "Entire home" as indicated in the heading of the description. This is VERY misleading and should not be allowed by VRBO, as the so called private pool mentioned several places in the listing, is NOT private but is shared by other guests. The parking is also shared and very cramped. When we arrived, we commented to the hostess that we were disappointed to have a shared pool instead of a private pool, but we had no options at that point but to stay there. The villa was nice inside, with an excellent kitchen, well equipped, and nice spacious bedrooms. On day 2, the host texted that the 6 babies were not listed in our agreement with the 8 adults and 2 children, (babies were sleeping in the king beds with their parents so no accommodation was needed for them) but told us that all was well. However, 2 days before our departure she requested an additional 10050 for the babies, but reduced it to 3750 as a deal. Meanwhile, we had shared a pool with others, had to buy our own toilet paper and face cloths as the host provided "complementary starters for these items" (her words). We have never experienced anything like this ever before. ##### Sheldon A. Séjour de 14 nuits en janvier 2026 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Heather C. 6 janv. 2026 Points forts : Propreté Incredible home with EVERYTHING you need, including an attentive and amazing hostess Paulette. Amazing pool. Fully stocked kitchen, game room and library, work out equipment, tons of space. We were 2 families of 9, with teens and young adults with each having own space. We had an issue w a toilet and it was repaired immediately. Convenient location. Easy drive to beaches. Walked to Haywood Sunday Market for breakfast which was fun. Of note, You do share the pool w a neighboring house but the porch is separated and neighbors were lovely so we never had an issue, but you do need to be mindful of their space. And I could see how it would be an issue if you had disrespectful renters next to you. We felt safe w an alarm system and automatic locking doors. There is a safe for valuables. It’s in a very safe and upscale community but there was a break in 2 houses down from us while there, so it was reassuring to have the alarm, gate etc. I would rent again without hesitation!
