"Very limited parking. A lot of loud partying going on in the next room at one point somebody just came right into our room from the hallway door that should’ve been locked and we couldn’t lock it and we had to have them send the super to lock it"

Bourbon Hideout - Private dock and access to Lower Hay Lake/Whitefish Chain
10/10 Excellent
"Place was well described, and we had a great time. I would recommend that you make a note that the boat ramp is under construction and looks to be for some time."
"Absolutely beautiful property with stunning view. The owners are personable and helpful. Condo was clean and delightfully appointed in a Northwoods theme! My only suggestion would be to state more clearly that it is a 2nd floor access. Might be difficult for some! Will definitely recommend this property to our friends !"
"Beautiful spot on a wonderful lake. Old school cabin charm but has everything you need. Stayed during a hot spell but plenty of fans were available to stay cool."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything about the house was exceptional and perfect for our large family gathering. We highly recommend staying here!"
"House was clean, well kept and well furnished. Loved the extra sleeping spots with futons and couch pullout and the spacious upstairs. Kitchen was well equipped. We were a little disappointed the water wasn’t swimmable at the dock but it was still perfect for our boat and the property managers were VERY helpful in giving us some spots to swim. Neighborhood was quiet and a short drive to the boat ramp and a few local towns. Fishing was good and we liked all the lakes you could connect to on the chain. We would go back for sure! "
"This was a nice cabin with a great lake front. The deck was nice which had trees for shade when you were on it during the day. We had a nice dock with a nice little beach area. The water was very clear where you could see fish swimming in it."
"This was an absolutely perfect spot. Everything there to do is so accessible, yet it is perfectly private. The house was fabulous. It is set up so able to spend time with friends. Then when needed, everyone had their own space and privacy. So clean and quiet!! Loved this place. We will be going back for sure. Highly recommend! "
"The Good: the house is lovely and the property is beautiful. It is so large, they need to give a map so you don't think you are trespassing into the neighbor's yard. Plus the water out of the tap is the best tasting drinking water. The Average: For such a great kitchen, it wasn't well stocked. We went to the dollar store and bought some staples. Everything used for outside needed a good scrubbing. Chairs, floaties, etc. The lawn was long when we got there and never mowed. The "beach" this year is all muck and overgrown weeds. It's not for the squeamish, but if you are used to Minnesota lakes, just swim past the lily pads to the clear water. The Bad: It is not as advertised. There are 2 baths with showers, not 3. The hammocks, croquet set, boat were all missing. The "swimming hole" is DANGEROUS. Do not let children go to the east dock alone. The water is crystal clear and ankle deep, so it looks great, but there are sink holes on either side of the dock. Immobilized me and almost drowned my dog. Very scary.Communication was very hit and miss when we brought up issues. Some questions got answered, and some were ignored entirely. "
