"There were ants in our sink, wet floor, tv didn't work, and smelled horrible. The security locks on the doors didn't work, so anyone could come into the building. Our room was changed to the 2nd floor, tv didn't work, water was scalding hot, got stuck in the elevator. This place is so run down and disgusting from the 1st floor to the top. Puke in corners and dog crap on floor, it's disgusting. The fact that they charge over $170 a night is horrendous, they shouldn't even charge $50 a night. I am so disgusted with this disgusting facility. Do NOT stay here ever!!!"

"While the room was clean, it was obvious there was a mold problem on the ceiling above the shower that had been painted over at least once. The building is very dated and showing it's age. The elevator we honestly thought was going to break down every time we got in it, with the noises it made. For a one night stay it was fine, but paying the higher memorial weekend price made it not worth the cost."

"The hotel was in a convenient location for our needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable with nice beds however it had not been cleaned properly as their were 'clothing stickers' hanging from a piece of artwork on the walls and the area around the bathroom sink wasn't as clean as it could have been. The breakfast was very good with a wide array of options. Unfortunately Fox news was on the TV monitor in the breakfast room throughout the duration of the breakfast hours. Beverages, including a refreshing cucumber water were always available and much appreciated. A few more chairs around the pool area would be beneficial. There were six to eight of us in the pool and parents nearby watching their children. Definitely not enough chairs to hold belongings."

"A multi-time return visitor to the Danfords Hotel in Port Jeff... Another great experience! From the Hotel location, to the clean and well maintained rooms and grounds, to the friendly and accommodating staff who know how to make guests feel special. Well run and in a wonderful little town on water's edge. A magical sunset to top off one of the great nights as well. All good!"
