Overall we've had better, but we've also had worse. I would consider this hotel again if my preferred is booked out like it was this time around. It's definitely a solid "middle of the road" hotel. Pros: I want to say my favorite part of this stay was the security of the hotel rooms themselves. Instead of using those swipe cards, which always seem to fail at least once, they used a tag-in system. I'm a tech nerd so this was a pleasant surprise and (bonus!) they worked. The bed was comfortable enough but I would recommend bringing your own pillow or requesting an extra if you're used to fluffy as their pillows are thin. The bathroom worked fine, and the shower had amazing water pressure so you actually feel clean at the end of the day. 24hr lobby was nice as we flew red eyes both in and out. Our visit was focused on family and friends so we really only needed a place to get ready and rest, and this hotel met that. Cons: There was some sort of gunk smeared on the walls in the resting and sink area, not sure if it was left over cleaning solution or what but it certainly looked like snot. The TV didn't work. Cleaning service only came in once to tidy up and swap our used towels for fresh ones, typically a pro for me, but it was on the very last night we were staying. While we appreciated the fresh towels, I couldn't help but wonder why bother at that point? We weren't given more toilet paper. Two people on 1-1/2 roll? Impossible, we bought ourselves extra.

This property was the equivalent of a "by hour "rental. My family couldn't stay there as it was not safe. There was ill lighting, a very seedy atmosphere. The first room assigned still had items from the last person that stayed all over (bottles, soda cans,etc.) possibly another guest inside and no linens on the bed. We were assigned a second room that appeared clean but reaked of smoke after requsting a non-smoking room. With a child and guest with asthma this was a nonstarter. To top it off there were hairs and stains in and on the bed and coffee rings on the counter. I asked for a refund from the property and I hope that it clears. I will say that the front desk attendant was quite pleasant and understanding of this ordeal. This facility should be a $40 night hotelb(if that), absolutely not $85. We booked at the Hampton Inn Parsippany not far away (not with Expedia) and felt the opposite we felt at Red Roof Inn. Safe, comfortable, able to breathe. Plus we had free breakfast for the same price..

Usually good but this time not so much.
We have to go to an oncologist every 6 months. We have always stayed at the red roof in Parsippany as the Dr is in mountain lakes. We travel with our small dog and every time our stay was very nice. This time however, there was noise and people talking etc at all hours. Our dog heard this and his job is to bark and protect us. Consequently, we got no sleep and had a 100 mile journey ahead of us. .

Stayed here on a whim. Its cheap for a reason. Room wasnt very clean, hairs on towels, empty coffee bag, shower was nasty as well. Would not recommend unless you have no other option.

The room smelled, there were hookers turning tricks in the room next door to me. The coffee pack was open instead of a new one I got the leftover pack and the tub had hair in it I was not happy with room.
