Hautevesnes 10/10 Exceptional (2) "This Gite is one of our favorites and it was the second time we’ve stayed there. The owners are lovely and so accommodating. They provide more than you need for a comfortable vacation and true French experience. For all of you history buffs, it’s only one town over from Belleau a huge WWI site (battle of Belleau Bois). It’s so close to Paris however there’s no reason to go there since there’s so much to do in this region alone. It has everything you need for such a stopover. The room is and bed are comfortable. It was very quiet in the room so it was possible to have a good night sleep. The breakfast is basic but was adequate for us. There are restaurants within walking distance for an evening meal."
