It has some important positives, but there are also quite a few things that could have been better.It is in a good location for getting to events at Soldier Hollow, which was the reason for our trip. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the layout is decent. As mentioned in other reviews, you can hear noise from the hall and the unit above, especially when the upstairs bathroom was in use (shower and flush). The decor is dated and the furniture is worn. It is also clunky and dark. I have bruises on my thighs from walking around the end of the bed because the space between the enormous bed and huge wardrobe is only 19” and the bedpost has sharp corners. Other minor irritations are the toilets don’t flush easily and the dishwasher is incredibly loud. In summary, it would be time for an update. ##### Elke H. Nice efficiency kitchen and spacious dining/living room area. Could have had more towels in the 2-queen bedroom bathroom, as there was only a total of 4 bath towels, 2-hand towels and 1-face cloth for the 4-day stay. Also, optional daily maid service would be greatly appreciated, rather than no daily maid service at all. Hotel offered great service and everything from the bakery was "to die for". May 15, 2018 #### Birthday/Mother's Day weekend at Zermatt Generally speaking we enjoyed our stay at Zermatt Resort and Vacation Club. This has become an annual event for our family. The room was spacious and the stay was pleasant. Since last year, the resort seemed to be a little rundown. The hotel's first floor ceiling was covered with patch work on the ceiling. The ceiling in the pool was pealing and there was also a large hole in the ceiling. The room safe in 1022 didn't work and the thermostat batteries needed to be replaced. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. The coffee table in the living room had 2 legs that were ready to break. In the second room, 1020, we found clothes from a previous guest in the drawers. We ate at the Wildfire Smoke Haus. As expected, the food was great. However, the service was terrible. It took us 10 minutes to get our order taken and another 15 minutes to get our food. I had to find the waitress and ask for straws for our drinks. She didn't offer any drink refills. This was a total let down considering our experience last year was great! The folks at the bakery and at the adventure store were great! All that being said, the resort reminds us of our trip to Europe so we will probably return next year. ##### Customer S.
