This charming fully furnished apartment is situated between the Bastille and Place Republique, only 20 metres from the Metro Oberkampf which is on two metro lines, one of which has a direct line to Eurostar at the Gare du Nord. The flat is also within walking distance of the Opera at the Place de la Bastille and the Marais. The accommodation consists of 1 bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom with bath/shower and toilet. The second bedroom has a double bed that can also be made into two singles, and the sofa bed sleeps 2 in the living room. The second bathroom has a shower and toilet. The living room is delightfully furnished with a period fireplace, TV, stereo, Internet access/wifi and a large comfortable sofa. The fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave is next to the dining area overlooking the bijoux conservatory.. The dining area has ample space to seat 6 . There is also a washing machine and dryer. Linens are provided. This is the ideal apartment to explore the most beautiful city in the world. The apartment is surrounded by bars and restaurants. The rue Oberkampf has a medley of food shops, a culinary delight, so if you feel like eating in the choice is yours, The flat is also situated very close the Boulevard Richard Lenoir which has a twice weekly street market, selling everything from Auvergne sausages and organic vegetables to dried flowers. Well worth a visit. The Marais is within walking distance with the Picasso museum and the Place des Vosges. Around the corner is the Cirque d'Hiver a must to visit if you are travelling with children. You can stroll down the Blvd Richard Lenoir towards the Bastille - and watch a game of boules or wander along the Canal St Martin. Transport: Ideal flat for discovering Paris. One minutes walk from the Metro Oberkampf. Three stops on a direct line from the Gare du Nord and Eurostar. Direct line to shopping on the Grands Boulevards - Galerie Lafayette etc also direct line to Champs Elysees. 96 bus to Left Bank -and Blvd St Germain. Parking is also not too difficult in the neighbourhood if you wish to bring your car. There is a pay car park close to the flat, they charge approx. 25 euros for 24 hours. Eurodisney is also well within reach of the apartment. From the metro Oberkampf direct to the metro station Nation then change on to the RER to Marne La Vallee Chessy - it should take between 45 minutes to an hour. Recommndations:: 'We had a very nice stay in your apartment. The beds were very comfortable. It was agreed that it was the best sleep that we had while travelling in Europe. We had no trouble finding the apartment. We will gladly recommend your apartment to anyone who wants to be close to the main attractions of Paris, but still in a non-tourist area. We really loved the fact that we would walk to the bakery every morning to pick up fresh baked goods.' 'May I take this opportunity to say what a lovely time we had in Paris and found your apartment to be a wonderful base for our family holiday. We had no issue with noise that others had warned about - some normal city sounds that we expect, but not late at all.The host Janet made sure we had what we needed and communicated well before and during the stay. There is also a pull out sofa in the living room which my group utilized because we had 5 people. The apartment is very nicely decorated and has a beautiful alcove with many plants and a small table & 2 chairs. The owner responded quickly to two issues we had. The noise from the restaurants on the street level was loud. If you are not bothered by the noise, you will be fine. But if you are a light sleeper, the noise was an issue. Close to metro stops that service the 5,8 and 9 lines, and to boulangeries, cafes, restaurants and bars. The apartment was well appointed for everything you might need for your stay, including to cook a meal. Check in was relatively easy and the instructions provided before our stay and in the apartment by Janet were very helpful. This is a great place to stay for those who want to experience a lively Paris neighbourhood. A tip is to make sure you close the outside shutters to limit street noise at night in the main bedroom. We stayed over a very loud NYE and the noise was minimised by the shutter and we slept like a dream. They were charmed by the neighborhood and apartment itself! We appreciated the layout which gave each bedroom its privacy while having distinct spaces to gather. Our host was communicative and proactively ensured we had a smooth stay with their posted and printed instructions for everything in the flat. Having read all previous reviews, I found the key retrieval and drop-off process straightforward (even with a self-imposed very early check-out). We did experience street noise from the neighboring restaurants, but closing the windows helped (and keeping the mindset that this is just part of city life). Our only mild concern was the building stairwell for my older parents, who felt nervous there wasn’t automated lighting when heading down the stairs nor a deeper handhold along the wall—but every trip up/down was completed safely! Fantastic location in terms of transport and facilities nearby, food shopping, coffee shops, etc, etc.The apartment does have it’s little quirk's with some doors not working properly and the like and it can get quite loud from the street due to the aforementioned restaurants.However the places oozes character and would definitely stay there again without doubt. ##### Eoin K. Family of five (3 kids 10) had plenty of space to enjoy Paris. The apartment itself exceeded expectations in size and quality of spaces. The neighborhood is great with lots of fun restaurants, bakeries, bars but also good connections to tourist spots. The weather was very hot during our stay so the apartment was quite warm. The surrounding area is busy so expect noise late into the night if you leave the windows open. We were aware of these when booking and it didn’t impact our stay. ##### Joseph S.
