This was the worst hotel experience of my life! Do not stay here. I reserved a “two bedroom suite” and the pictures I saw on the website (as well as the price) were reflective of what appeared to be a two bedroom suite. When I arrived at the property, I was charged in full for the five nights I reserved and taken up to the “two bedroom suite”. It was not a two-bedroom suite at all. It was two tiny hotel rooms adjoined by a door in the middle. Again, not reflective of the pictures that are shared on the Expedia website. Immediately I went downstairs and told them there was some sort of mistake and articulated my displeasure. They agreed that the pictures on the Expedia website were misleading but said there was nothing they could do and that I had to contact Expedia. At this point, I had already paid for the hotel in full ($4700 CAD!!) and they were refusing to refund me. I left the hotel (and found a more suitable one) and contacted Expedia for them to tell me that it was up to the hotel to refund me, not Expedia. I am yet to be refunded the $4700 that they charged me for a very misleading hotel room, not to mention I had to pay for another hotel room. The staff was not helpful and quite rude when trying to sort through this issue as was the Expedia representative. I have since escalated this issue to Expedia mgmt. and hoping to get some sort of response and refund. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!

We do not recommend. Firstly, we were not permitted to check-in earlier than 3pm even though we understood a room of the type we had booked to be available. Our overall experience was determined by the room we were allocated. The ground floor and front of the building were extremely noisy through the day and night. Street level passers by literally just oustide the bedroom window could be heard clearly, and were able to look into the room unless the curtains were drawn. Inside the building the noise from other guests in the ground floor reception area and the hallway was overwhelming. We requested another room but were told none other was available for the duration of our stay. It would be hard to believe that this challenge had not been raised before with the hotel management. We have stayed in Paris many times before happily at other hotels. This experience was poor.

I enjoyed so many things about the property. The service was fantastic, we were greeted with kindness and attentiveness. The staff took us through the normal registry procedures, answered all of our questions and concerns, each room is named after a famous poet, playwright, or ancient literature character. The architecture and interiors were upscale without advertising so. We’d divinely stay here on our next visit.

Suite Phillipe Le Bel -- modern two-level one bedroom with very poor and limited facilities. Cannot recommend Too dark in small kitchen cant see to use burners. Induction burners with no instructions. Very, very limited kitchen utensils.Microwave in back of cupboard under sink -- difficult to use. No storage for clothes, no room for suitcases. Bed much too large for space. Have to climb on bed as too tight to wall. No bedside table or shelf for book ar glasses, etc. TV on wall beside bed is very inconvenient. Bathroom is the best room but black mould in shower. Hooks in bathroom for clothes/towels too small wont hold anything. Also, shower leaks and wets the floor quite badly. Very small clothes cupboard with 3 hangers. Very bright with many windows but very stuffy -- windows dont open. Two-teir flat with difficult staircase for older guests. However, the location is just great and the staff is very good. But would never stay in this particular suite again.

Property was extremely loud from the hallway, from employees at reception, from the room next door. Location is good, rooms are okay, not super comfortable and the bathroom is extremely minimal. I left while there was an event going on and the metro was shut down. The front desk employee checked out me and my massive luggage without making sure I knew that or offering to call me a cab. I found that really unacceptable from a 4 star hotel. Overall it was fine but there are much nicer hotels in Paris for this price.

Location was wonderful, especially due to the Metro strikes during our visit. It was extremely helpful to be so close to the 1 line. A few things about the suite were surprising to us, however. The bedroom was located up a staircase above the living area, which wasn't a problem for us, but may be for people with more mobility issues. A microwave and cookware were also not provided, and I remembered the listing saying those amenities were included. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay, and the staff members at the desk were always very helpful.

Inez has been very helpful and pleasant. Enjoyed our stay and would love to return again and stay in Helzear. Only setbacks were - the wifi wasnt working for the 2nights we were there and the hotel shud redo the tap structure at the sink. The tap is too far from the sink that it caused water to flood around the sink area.

Good front office staff who were very friendly and helpful. Location wasn’t exactly on champs elysee but it was a short walk so it was okay. Main issue is the size of the “suite”. It’s just so tiny - definitely space was too small to fit 4 people (so called family room).

These pictures are somewhat misleading. First, the property has a little more wear and tear than these pictures suggest. Second, I wouldn't call this a hotel. My room was more like an air B&B. Which means that you get someone to clean your room but you don't get any of the amenities of a hotel. At 650 Euro a night, I really expected a lobby, a restaurant, turn down service... the cleaning staff don't show up until 4-5pm, which is just a waste of time at that point. Paris always has dodgy hotels, but I want to warn someone who is looking for a HOTEL to avoid this place. The only seriously good thing was the location, but for that price you could stay anywhere with a good location. Good luck everyone.
