We paid for a room that we didn't get (bought double deluxe, got a sofa bed). When we asked the reception about this they said they didn't have any other room available. When we asked for a refund of the price difference, since we saw online that they costed different and we booked something we weren't getting, they refused saying that hotels in Paris were expensive, almost 200 euros, and said his boss (to whom this person spoke for less than 10 seconds) refused to give a refund. We also were told to "ask tomorrow" for a change of room but he couldn't be sure if there was going to be any availability, Of course, this man could know that by looking at the bookings, but of course didn't. I also have to say that while the reception man was talking to me, another guests who I assume were of the same nationality as him because of their shared language, started to question him constantly, and this hotel employee answered all their questions even though he was talking to me beforehand, making us wait when he only had to tells when breakfast time was and where the lift was. Also, the guest gave the man in the reception a pack of 10 Marlboro boxes for some favor or the other. We cannot tolerate this behavior when we paid for something and when we weren't provided, they refused to give us the money difference back. All in all, even though the hotel is cheap and in a good location, they don't keep their word about the bookings made so I could never recommend them.
