The staff at this hotel was excellent. My friend and I enjoyed the neighborhood and found many great shops and restaurants nearby. We appreciated staying a little outside the busy center of the city, but close to a major metro station. Our room was quiet and clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was fine Overall clean. Front desk staff did not answer phone when calling from room. Operator did not answer. Not sure if it was a problem with phone system but I also called via my cell to the hotel number and got the hotel, heard the message and then was disconnected.

Poor facilities and the fire alarm went off twice in one night. The first time it went off, we were woke up by the alarm sounding. We quickly ran downstairs to be informed “not to worry” about it and to go back up to our room. This was at around 22:00. Then, at 05:30 the next morning the same thing happened again. This woke us up when we were going to have a rest before we do some sightseeing and then fly home the next day. Extremely disappointed with this.

I loved the location. The fact that I had a view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance was a lovely surpise. Ayoka was a wonderful ambassador for the hotel, very sweet and helpful. My only gripe at all was the fact that I could never quite get the room cool enough at night for a good sleep. The breakfast was superb, but again the breakfast room was very hot. I took to dressing lightweight and then changing before heading out. The metro is only down the block, so that also is quite convenient.

You can do much better in Paris than this
Mercure Paris - a small room, stylish but impractical. No hooks or rods in bathroom and limited counter space. Beds were very uncomfortable. The staff had attitude, and when we were mugged right in front of the hotel displayed not only indifferance, but hostility. This hardly improves foreign views of the French as haughty and uncaring! Water was only provided the first day. Did we not pay the same amount every day? This is simply NOT acceptable. This was the beginning of a seven week trip thru Europe, and it did not set a very good tone. This was one of the worst hotels we stayed in.

Great place for a weekend break
The hotel is a great hotel which is close to the Metro (good links into Paris centre) and has plenty of resturants and bars nearby.. Our room was spotlessly clean and a reasonable size (for Paris hotels). The staff were very welcoming and freindly and the breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food.

I wish they would have: 1. Brought us an iron that was requested 2 separate days of the 6 days we were there! 2. Replaced the water bottle they gave on the first day 3. Cleaned the shower tiles and floor a bit more. I could see the dirt between the tiles and on the floor. Beyond those things, it was clean overall and great experience! The staff were very nice and helpful as well!

Wonderful place in a safe neighborhood
Our guy at the desk who is about to take a trip to San Francisco was so wonderful! I loved the restaurant down the street by the metro station and the market that’s right out front on Fridays and sundays and Tuesday’s.

The location is good cause you have a metro station very close and there’s facilities for buses all around. When we arrived the boy has trouble finding the reservation but was because even that I made it on my husband name Hotels.com decided to put under my name. We had two issues with the hotel in general one was the weird smell in the hall toward our bedroom and the other was the lack of variety in the breakfast that we decided not to have everyday there instead walk to someplace near and have more options. And the last is that maybe the standards for stars is different in Europe because according to us this is not a 4 star hotel it could be 3 at must.

I have to take my hat off to the team at this hotel, especially the Hotel Manager, Anna. I made them aware before arrival that we were going to celebrate my sister's 21st birthday and, my God, they really went out of their way to make sure the birthday really was special. The rooms were fantastic and so was the breakfast. Only issue I had was that a false fire alarm went off one morning but we were due to wake up at that time anyways. Also there was a lack of irons in the hotel but that didn't bother us too much.

Left feeling a bit disappointed!
My husband & I booked a trip to Paris for our 1st wedding anniversary. I emailed the hotel & asked if we could get a room upgrade. I was told our room was upgraded to one with a view of the Eiffel Tower. This was not the case when we checked in. We were actually given someone else's room (Miss Noor celebrating her 21st b'day). When we advised the reception staff he just brushed it off with a sorry & didn't offer to put us in the correct room. For the rest of the time that we were there they kept mistaking me for Miss Noor which got a bit annoying after the 5th time. There wasn't any effort to make our stay special, not even a simple note to say happy anniversary. I believe little touches like that can make a difference to your stay. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food. The room was clean & comfortable but in the bathroom the overhead shower was awful. Luckily there was a separate handheld showerhead so we used this. Some parts of the hotel could do with a bit of updating. The hotel is situated in a good location with 2 metro stations close by. There's a really nice restaurant called Etchegorry near by (10min walk). The confit duck is delicious!! There's also Chez Gladines a short walk away. This is a local hang out. Food here is quite good too. There's a bakery called Lorette Gourmet Bakery near the hotel. The pastries here are gorgeous and so cheap. We got breakfast here everyday. We had a brilliant time in Paris but left disappointed with the hotel!

Great location ... but for the smell :-(
The hotel is in a great location at Place d'Italie, near metro, cafés, shopping, etc. The rooms are reasonably large by Paris standards and the bed was very comfortable. Sadly, there is a serious problem with the ventilation system: about once every hour, the air coming out of the AC vent smells like the city sewers. The whiff lasts a few minutes, long enough to wake you up in the middle of the night. The air intake pipe must be on top of a sewer vent? The staff were surprised to learn about my complaint (sure ...) and immediately offered another room on a lower level. The smell was slightly less intense, but still woke me up ... One more thing ... the fire alarm went off every morning, six days in a row. I was told not to worry ... probably the toaster in the breakfast room or a guest smoking. But how would I know if there was an actual fire? Disappointed.

Hotel exterior is being refurbished so forget looking out the window. My room had broken fixtures and peeling closet doors. Beaware that there is a street market on friday and sunday that obscures the front entrance.

My room on floor 3 was quite shabby - carpets tired, bathrooms old with ingrained wear. It is a hotel with cramped lobby space; no restaurant. It didn't meet my idea of what a Mercure should be, that is a bit up market. That said when the lift stopped I did see that other floors didn't look so shabby and had new carpets. Breakfast was ample but the coffee was capsule coffee. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We are sorry that the room didn't met your expectations, the main picture you see on expedia website is the one of our privilege room, but when you choose your room category there are other pictures showing our différents rooms and styles categories. We also only have 5 rooms with bathtube and lot of guest ask for those kind of room. Concerning the carpet, it is not dirty but unfortunatly there are some hydrogen peroxide spots because of the room cleaning. Nice Hotel in convenient Location
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Paris. It is a nice location with outdoor markets three days a week right outside the doors. Easy access to metro. Nice, modern decor. The beds were very comfortable. The only issue we had was that every once in a while over the five days we were there there was a strong odor of septic in the room. I have no idea if it was from outside or if the plumbing is not correct, it just smell pretty bad a few times a day. Otherwise, we love the hotel!

Comfortable hotel in a good/safe location close to the metro; you can reach all of Paris's main attractions easily.staff are friendly;service is very good, lobby,bedroom and bathroom are modern . Breakfast is continental which was tasty and enough to start your day. Wifi was free and good too!

Nice staff but weird smell
My room had an odd smell tonit and I noticed this right when I walked in. Also, my bed ended up being two twin beds pushed together. The room and bathroom was clean and the hotel staff was very kind. The air conditioning was an important feature in the summer in paris.
