It is a short walk to the famous Champs-Elysées and Avenue Montaigne -– the most fashionable avenues in Paris. While the apartment is modern, the building is quintessentially French in terms of its style of architecture, dating back to the early 1900s. With a grand, marble, spiral staircase and large French doors on every floor, you quickly realize that you are in Paris! ?? It is in a classic building but the kitchen and bath are modern and everything works perfectly. The bed is very comfortable. It is very quiet yet convenient - the window overlooks an interior courtyard, so common in Paris, not the street. The hosts are extraordinarily helpful, met us at the door to give us the keys and explain in and out, cleaned something we dropped in the common area and got us a taxi to the airport. One interesting thing is that some sources say this building was HQ for the US CIA from the end of WWII until the 2000s. Everything was close - a Carrefour downstairs, restaurants up and down the street, the Post Office on the street and Micromesnil Metro at the end of the block. ##### John C. Dora was lovely to deal with and went out of her way to make my stay perfect. She met me later than planned due to my flight and showed me around the home. She had fresh roses and got me the perfect coffee, to my taste. She even researched metro times for me and sent me the info. Thank you Dora. The apartment was cozy and elegant. I enjoyed a coffee in bed each morning looking out those huge windows. The neighbourhood was great and close to the metro for easy travel around the whole city. Great for walking day and night.
