After a slightly rocky beginning, our overall stay was good. We booked a panoramic view room at great expense to have a balcony and good view. We had already stayed in paris for 2 days at a hotel less then half the price, where we had such a great experience. I was extremely disappointed when upon arrival the room wasn't ready. We were a bit early so left our luggage with them and went out for a late lunch. On our return to check-in there was a dispute over breakfast being included. I showed the booking on my app saying it was and where it stated that, but the language barrier made it rather difficult. We were asked to email the manager with the booking and all became rather difficult. It wasn't a good first impression. When we finally got to our room, I was extremely underwhelmed. A very stange layout with hardly any hanging space for clothes, jackets, coats etc .The furniture was rather worn and the balcony view also was not quite as good as I was expecting. The bathroom was great and the bed ,very comfortable but for the money we paid, I was extremely disappointed.
I have to say when we had issues with the aircon they tried to resolve it as quickly as possible. We were offered another room but as it didn't have a balcony we declined.
We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The manager contacted me via email and offered a complimentary drink each,at the bar as a gesture. I thought that was kind. The position good but I just felt it was overpriced for what you get.
